I wouldn't pour Brunty's on my dick if it was on fire.
It's cheap fucking nasty alcoshite for kids and whores.
Hopefully SM will get them to organise their "sales force" to actually go further than Aussie XL and a few whore bars and support those businesses still willing to stock their shit before its too late.
Now... Kampot Cider..... fucking boom!

The guy seems to represent everything that vladimir despises, let's remember this next time he starts going off on NGO'S, Lexus 500s, misappropriation of donor funds, etc.. Quite the hypocrite.
I suspect this change in tone is the result of fear and a self-preservation tactic.
I met the guy once and he drank a beer in my presence without stabbing me. Top bloke!

I don't think Brunty's is that bad, except the strawberry one, which is really sickly.But-if this guy's job is to promote Brunty's in Vietnam,he's going to find it extremely difficult.Up until recently I'd never seen cider in Vietnam, but Strongbow has recently made its debut here, and is quite widely available, certainly in Saigon and other big cities. The big (formerly German owned, but now Thai owned) Cash and Carry chain-Metro,sells it by the box for about 15USD(equivalent) for 24 x 330ml bottles. It's available in small stores in Saigon for 16000 VND -about 70c and in bars for about 30000-40000VND.I understand Strongbow is now owned by Heineken,so they have massive advertising and marketing skills and budgets. It comes in 4 flavours-Gold,(which is just apple flavour),Honey,Red Berries, and Elderflower.I believe the sweetness level is the same as that sold in the USA,so it's a bit sweeter than the UK version, but it tastes pretty good, and the Elderflower one, which I've never seen before-is really good, and very popular

1. You know that I did not make any such attack, dirty tactics from the ethics/human rights guru. I was targeted because I questioned the definition of orphans, and you know it. You have really sunk to new levels lately, trying to get me to make defamatory statements re NGOs (which even other posters saw through, you clown), I have no respect for your type.LTO wrote:Yeah? Speak for yourself big man. Maybe you were an imprudent asshole making personal and slanderous attacks on people.
So what did I do or say to be targeted for violence, besides perhaps post on the same thread as people like you?
2. I suggest you ask him, I know that's a radical suggestion..you're a 'big man', right?
I bumped into him at Aussie XL one day, and decided to broach the subject, end of.He knows he went OTT, he regrets it, it's over. Or is challenging the great LTO the unpardonable sin? He threatened Peter too, Peter sorted it out and was satisfied with it to the best of my knowledge, why not you?
Now be a man and go speak to him and settle it. Or stop whining. Jesus, how long ago was this?

Wonder what Brunt would think of this, though he's probably not one to take ciders.

I apologize vlad. I misread your comment. I thought you had implied that we somehow deserved to be on that list because we had done or said something wrong. My mistake. I retract what I said. My post was directed at you, not at him, and that was a mistake on my part. Again, I apologize for my outburst. I will remove my post so there is no further misunderstanding.vladimir wrote:1. As for approaching my wannabe attacker, that is not my responsibility. If there is something to be settled, it is the responsibility of the offender to do the approaching. Grovelling for peace to your attacker is not "being a man" to use your words. But as far as I am concerned it is all history. I will not be approaching anybody, but I bear no grudge. Prior to that incident I thought his approach to the problems his NGO was trying to address were unique and innovative and was a bit disappointed to see it all fall apart. His NGO's attitude regarding prostitution was realistic and refreshing. And SISHA was the first NGO that I am aware of that tried to address the fake orphanage issue here, which was forward thinking and needed. I was very disappointed that we were not able to make some sort of peace in the negotiations after the incident. I wanted resolution. As for Peter, he was a coward, both that night, and for talking a hard uncompromising line behind the scenes, refusing to find a middle ground as I suggested, and then going and making a separate peace.

Thanks LTO, no problem. Appreciate it.
I agree with the 2nd half of your post as well, Peter completely misled people, then again maybe the banking guy didn't represent SM properly either, but it's in the past now.

i'm english, im a cider man, its my first weapon of choice at the start of the night before i hit the vodkas
bruntys is alright, apart from the Apple one, the Apple one is disgusting, i only drink the pear
Apple - 4.5% - weak as piss for cider, too sweet, too fizzy, heartburn in a bottle
Pear - 5.2% - My first choice, Not as sweet, stronger than apple, doesnt even taste like pear cider (i cant drink pear cider in the UK)
Strawberry - 5.2% - I only drink this if theres no pear, stronger than the apple, although just as sweet as apple it tastes better, heartburn in a bottle
Kampot Cider is a much better cider, and at 7.5% it is a good tasting scrumpy cider, not too sweet and not so fizzy, and also much cheaper than Bruntys
all branded cider is too sweet, and in the UK ciders seem to be getting sweeter and sweeter, Strongbow, Magners and Bulmers all are starting to get too sweet to drink
there used to be a pub in my city centre that was well known for brewing its own ciders, and would have their own menus of home made scrumpy ciders ranging from 5% all the way up to 12%, nice and clowdy, nothing like the branded piss, and they get you fucked up! not sure its open anymore or maybe it has new owners but not been there for a long while

There's a relatively new dry cider on the market, Kampot Cider. It's available in Kampot, but not sure it's available anywhere else just yet. Good price too, $1.50 a stubby at the bar, which undercuts Brunty.Jackal wrote:Well, Bruntys is shit anyhow.

I have no idea why they call it Kampot Cider. It's made in Shitsville and features Angkor Wat on its branding. Weird.
It's sold in a few bars in Phnom Penh. Rustic has it on 172 and I think Box Office does it also. It will be more like $2.50 to $3 bucks here.
A nice drop and damned strong at 7.5 percent.
