Off Road Kampot
Some okay footage I threw together from my camera. This is around Kampot. LOL@the very end my poor go pro.
The guy on the red Honda XR is 71 years old and he is the leader of the group and we all had trouble keeping up with him. I think I left a bit of him in the video. My camera ran out of batteries quicker than I expected. This is the best I could do. I hope you enjoy. Not gnarly riding, just beautiful surroundings Watch in HD

Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.

You can hear me miss my 1st to 2nd shift by throwing it into N a few times.
I of course took out the part where I faceplate in front of a group of farmers. I came up laughing and they were too. Made their day.

Good to watch, thanks
Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.
Land Mines...I thought they were mostly in the northeast. Are their land mines in the Kampot-Kep area?

There are tens of thousands of individiual off-road dirt bike excursions in Cambodia each year, and growing, and nobody in their number has been blown up by a land mine, as far as I am aware.
All major mine fields are well flagged now, most are cleared.
There are still vast numbers of UXO out there, but it's mainly poor farmers ploughing and the like who bear the brunt of them.
Walkers, cyclists, hashers, dirt bike riders etc will generally be fine as long as they are not pushing into territory obviously not travelled by people or animals for over 15 years.

along the land mines and UXO topic......
we where digging out a very large hole in the ground for a new septic system about 3 meters from the rivers edge and at the base of the Old Bridge.
it's well documented the amount of bombs that where dropped on that bridge as on most bridges in Cambodia.
add to that, when the locals would discover one... the most common thing to do was to toss it in the nearest river.
so when we were down past a meter and "hit" something.... everyone paused.
turned out to be a root.. but it does make you wonder.

We rode on trails.. Thus, no landmines....... I hope.
If I get blown up by a landmine....please recover my epic jaw bone and send to Smithsonian
