I think he's saying that other people saw the video and identified the Nigerian as a guy who owes them money too.Alexandra wrote:Just realized I've been to the restaurant in question. Great food and people, never had any problems. But what is this nonsense?

Points? Pints? What the devil are you on about, man?TristranandIsolde wrote:He's obviously new to the business, giving away free tickets and loans without mention of any points? Pints usually help with speedy payments and aggravation ...

Did you reveal where you work yet? Now we know!Gilmore wrote:He is relatively new to running a business. He worked as a PE teacher at my school until 4 tears ago. He bought the Boom Boom Room on St. 278, as his wife was managing the place, then diversified into the restaurant, travel and even real estate. He's a top guy, very honest and I wish him well.

Sure buddy. Like hey can you get me an airline ticket to Khao San road next month, I will pay you back next week. Done deal! A week, the seller rang "where is the money?" No answers and mere excuses. The seller ran out of patience and exposed him on the social media and get punched in his own restaurant. Or by Telesales logic, you can repay 10 bucks a month plus 10% interest assuming the debtor will live up to it.TristranandIsolde wrote:Are you both rubes? Do I have to spell it out to you? (Please do forgive my occasional typo, etc. The average reader can usually deduce the correct meaning.)
Points (not pints) means interest ... Charge them high monthly interest, he'll try to pay off early. Compensates for your aggravation when he puts you off. Solves both of their problems, no threats and less delay.
While I think this particular Nigerian is a criminal for resorting to violence, I have to agree he WAS trying to pay, if in meager and slow portions. He blew all his credibility and I doubt many people want to loan him money now, though.
Points points points! The Indian could've told the Nigerian, "OK, but it's 5% per week it's late." Totally legal here, possibly for this compelling reason. People pay late / default all the time.
