Bentley and Rolls Royce around town
Bentley and Rolls Royce around town
I these expensive cars around town. You wonder what kind of a moron would want to be seen in one. They are just plain ugly. I know this is what rich, third world people with no education like to buy. It is just giving the finger to the common people here. Look at the rich I respect, Leon Cooperman, billionaire and drives a 2002 Lexus. A couple of years ago one of those billionaire Google founders was photographed riding the subway in New York.
Unrelated. I am going for a walk this morning. Two big engine motorcycles go by. Big fat white guys. All their tattoos. They pay to have their bikes make a lot of noise because for some reason they want people to look at them. Same as the idiots with those above mentioned cars.

So what are you trying to say? Local tycoons should get the subway?
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
I am saying that the Rolls Royce and Bentley cars are plain stupid and ugly. Even if I was rich I would settle for something in the under 100 thousand dollar range. Why do people like to draw attention to themselves? Look at me!

Yes, perhaps that is a little harsh. Admittedly I've taken a few photos of myself over the period of a lifetime. But taking photos of oneself on a daily basis, or several times per day, and then posting them for all see seems a 'normal' activity these days. Attention seeking and the 'look at me' mentality, like the Bentley crowd, seems to be the norm in 2016. More normal than those of us who do not seek to draw attention to ourselves.Miguelito wrote:No offense, but that's a bit harsh. In that thought process, why do people ever have photos of themselves taken?LTO wrote:Why do people even take selfies? I can't relate.
Most Khmers have no idea how much a Rolls costs, and they are designed to look "understated" from the outside. If you were talking about the lambos and ferraris I'd understand, but when it comes to Rolls and Bentley is disagree wholeheartedly. Try pointing one out to a Khmer next time you see one and ask if they think it costs more or less than a Lexus.
I know a guy here who imported an Aston Martin but got rid of it after finding he had to ship it to Thailand to get it serviced. Rolls have an actual legit dealership here, so if you want an ultra high end car then it makes more sense to get one than another brand that you have to ship internationally every time it needs a service.vladimir wrote:Aston Martin?

It's not just the rollers that get her goat it's the tattooed fat white guys on noisy big bikes. The noisiest bikes around town have to be those silly small capacity "cafe racers" whose owners a aren't usually fat tattooed whiteys. Normally those hipsters in skinny jeans or skinny brown guys. But I don't get out much so I could be wrong.
One of these would be cool
