Yeah, I think the app uses the old way of handling permissions. Since Marshmallow, I believe when you install an app it doesn't ask for permissions anymore - it just asks you later as and when the app asks for them. So that's a downside. It seems that they're a bit old-school, the app makers (Estonian company?).
There are ways to restrict those app permissions though. Not sure how. Other apps, I think.
(This is all assuming you're not an iPhone user. I don't know about that.)
But onto my main point! Wow. Order a taxi without the phone call and the problems that might entail. And it's cheaper than a tuk tuk.
Streuth, mate! What a cool thing. I've nearly always got my own transport - and anyway tuk tuks and motodops are part of the fun here ... but this Uber-style thing is pretty cool. Smooth.
(PS. To the person who is getting pleasure out of tuk tuk drivers burning and dying, have a word with yourself please. )
