Retirement Visa
Retirement Visa
Has anyone applied for the Retirement Visa?
If so was it easy and did you have to tell them how much money you have?
Thanks

There is no evidence - despite vague semi-official pronouncements - that it actually exists yet. It was meant to come into effect on 1 September, but I'm not aware of any formal application process, definitive guidelines or requirements appearing anywhere.

I saw one night before last. Took a photo of it too. A long term expat got it this week. As I remember, it looked like a regular E type visa except it was marked with a large 'ER.' Multiple entry. One year. Cost the same as the regular E visa. He said that, at least at this point, they didn't ask for any details such as age, money in bank etc. just offered it to him, he said yes, so that is what he got. Got more details but was kind of drunk. Ill ask him more when I see him next week.

Normally I just renew the 12 month "business" visa through one of the many agencies. If I switched to an "ER" visa after my expiry, would I still be able to do it that way?
So basically you use a blue pen to scribble "ER" on a visa extension issued post 1st September and you're retired? God bless Cambodia.

I bought a year extension on my visa and asked for a retirement visa instead of a business one. No problem at Mottah Travel.

Try Lucky Motorcycle on Monivong. They do all sorts of visas (among other things). Employees speak English and seems popular with the foreigner crowd. Quick service, too. They had my regular visa extended by the next day.
Don't worry, be happy.
