A building in the heart of the colonial area in kampong cham will be destroyed in the next weeks for building one of the most boring Borey I have ever seen. It's in the colonial-khmer style endorsed by the French authorities during the colonial period, with pagoda like buildings for non religious use. Its in the middle of kampong cham "dome" when seen on the map. There used to be a massive park with a villa and this building, the villa is already gone unfortunately. There are some very large roughly 3*3*3meter decorations on the building, I could bribe my way into preserving them when the building will get torn down. I don't know if it is worth the effort or if i should just let them destroy them without feeling bad about it. You can give it a look and decide.
Thanks for your advice
Old building scheduled for destruction, possibly colonial. Advice needed.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
No it's not timber. Anyway the building will be demolished I am just asking if the big triangle on the front has some historical value and if it would be worth saving.
Stone or concrete as most buildings decorative motif's in Cambodia since the 1890
its a bad image mr rossi. try taking one at sunrise or sunset when the relief is picked out in detail. I guess if it is concrete, it would be taken from a generic mold. A lot of the stuff from the 1990's (I think?), was badly molded/ sculpted, Buddhas etc, although that is of historical interest as well.

Cambodia should rebuild the railway instead of building a canal.
