Whats your MBTI personality type?
Been INTJ on every MBTI test I've taken. Head hunters often use it or something similar and pretend that they came up with it, because fuck Carl Jung and nobody heard about those ladies anyway.

Same as me mate. INTP, there are only 3% of us. I feel sorry for you.

Ha Exactly. I liked your point about jumping from a to b to e. I find that really infuriates people .Felgerkarb wrote:The few, the proud, the all over the place...what, you don't understand what I am saying?!! Bah, I have no time for you! I can see why I irritate people when I say things but provide no logical path to the conclusion. We don't do A B C D E....we go A...B...oh, I see....E...which makes people crazy sometimes...but it helps finding the bad guy in a pinch when you only have A and B.

Meyers-Briggs is based on Jung's archetypes. Jung's archetypes are based on astrology. He wrote a seminal book 'Astrology and Alchemy' which influenced a lot of later work in the field of psychology. It is a difficult read for those who thinking/perception is linear.khmerhit wrote:a few years ago when i did this, i got INTP or INTJ, introvert etc. However, since stopping drinking, i am less sceptical and introverted, so It has probably changed, in fact I know it has.
But the Meyers Brigg test is still v useful, if flawed (what isnt "flawed"?). I have been learning quite a bit about astrology recently, and it am coming to see it is not the bunk I thought it was.
So, comparing it to astrology is not a negative in my books.
It works, who knows how. It is about distinctly categorised energies we possess and how they interact to form personality types. All is related to... hormones.
INTP too. Introverted Intuition Thinking Perception. Yes, it is never in a straight line. It takes contemplation and then it simply drops 'in'. Insightful thinking.Felgerkarb wrote:I got the same results on the full Meyers Brigg that I took when in the government...almost maxed intuitive.

I used to be a different type. Jumped 'after' my Mind got re-arranged and opened like a cracked watermelon

I'm Primal Switch Voye... oops wrong test.
No matter how many times I take various versions of the Myers Briggs test, I'm always an E, always an N and always an F. And I swing between Judging and Perceiving.

One doesn't need a bloody personality 'test' to know one's personality. They are all tricks designed to make us box ourselves in & flow downstream, toward the rock formation of least resistance before disappearing into a limestone swallow hole. (You know, the 'I'm a xyz type, so I, like, need to express myself in a xyz way.) Pigeon holes might make the psychologists demand a salary increase, much as the 'access to clean drinking water' NGOs might attempt to justify their calls for more donations (we managed to increase xyz country's standing on the HDI Index by 12%) but in the end it is just ticking boxes and destruction of human diversity. I am not a number, as the cry goes.(That's my 1,552nd post. )

What degree do you hold in psychology? Oh, none.springrain wrote:One doesn't need a bloody personality 'test' to know one's personality. Let me tell you about ballet dancing because I don't know anything about that.

How dare you make assumptions about my qualifications. Prove that your assertions are correct. What makes you think that you know anything about me?Alexandra wrote:What degree do you hold in psychology? You are displaying arrogance in that statement. You wish to challenge my assertions? Then do so, without cheap jibes. I would like you to prove that your assumption about my qualifications in Psychology are correct. Are my gatherings about Hamlet & King Lear (not to mention Oedipus Rex subject to your 'definitions' of what constitutes a 'degree in Psychology'?
Do not, prey, assume the mantle of arrogance; I invite you to check 'facts' before leaping to conclusions.
