The Halo Trust specializes in this area and does work in Cambodia. They would be the best starting point.
I have an organistation taking care of mine.
Its called HSBC.
Let me know if you want me to PM you the account details.

I took my students to the excellent Land Mine Museum just outside Siem Reap. It is run by a splendid American couple called Jim & Jill, I think. Give me a moment & I will dig out their details.
Later - details here, mate. A visit is a humbling experience, in my opinion, and they are a really wonderful, small organisation that does much fine, barely-recognised work.
Good luck with your endeavours, mate! I can't recommend them highly enough.

I spent a year in a gold mine in Australia. He can send it to me.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Would love to have met Aki Ra. Unfortunately, I only met Jill. It is a splendid place, though, for all the excellent work they do. (I don't mean I was unfortunate in meeting Jill; I I mean I would love to have met Aki Ra, too.)Lucky Lucan wrote:Jim and Jill? Cambodia is awash with foreign donations for things they did to themselves. Suggest to your friend to donate the money to a victim of Agent Orange in Vietnam instead.

RBD is right up-to-a-point but the big UXO bombs were dropped by the Americans and all the small UXO stuff was supplied by
helpful foreigners (mainly by the kindly Chinese)

Rather than victims how about de mining?

Only by finding the mines can we stop people becoming victims.

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
Interesting article from a Cambodian Old Hand (Nate Thayer - THE MAN who interviewed Pol Pot...), who seems to have got out of the wrong side of bed the day he wrote this article:boozyoldman wrote:RBD is right up-to-a-point but the big UXO bombs were dropped by the Americans and all the small UXO stuff was supplied by

In case you don't want to read, a summary is:
- it's all Cambodia's own fault;
- and anyway no one cares anymore.

they're doing great work, free for cambodian amputees.
it's like an uni school for prosthetics & orthotics.
I'm very picky about whom i support, whom i believe in, (médecins sans frontières for ex).
Or cspo. On their donation site you can specify where exactly you want your money to
go to, or visit the place, see for yourself. Their main base is in the outskirts of PP.
