My mistakable. After being stepped on by the taxi girl I thought all girls were the same. They are not. She is absolutely different. Many posters have used the word bird to describe a girl. Why am I the only one being persecuted for doing so?scobienz wrote:newkidontheblock wrote:She's the one for me. She's even better in person than I could have ever imagined. I appreciate all the advice for everyone.
You conveniently ignored gavinmac's question.
You say this girl isn't Birdie and that Birdie was a taxi girl who treated you like an ATM. Yet you previously posted Birdie was in nursing school.
You've never met this girl have you? Come on, fess up.
Sad state of nursing

After the taxi girl fiasco, I thought all girls were the same. I was wrong, my mistake! This girl is not a bird. She's the one.
Met this girl? Already met her several times! Better than I could ever had dreamed! Will meet her again soon! Having her is like winning the lottery on a daily basis!
Don't worry, be happy.

Thanks for the luck. I discuss everything with her. Everything I lack, she has.Lucky Lucan wrote:Yeah, that's what is sometimes called the "honeymoon period". To put it in basic terms, it's the time at the beginning of a relationship when both partners are so enamored with each other that they are both so starry-eyed and deluded that they will do anything to please each other. Unfortunately it only lasts so long, and then invariably someone will get disappointed and question where things are going. That's when it gets a bit tricky. You seem like a decent enough chap, but I'm in doubt about how mature you are to be able to deal with the inevitable difficulties that are just around the corner. Good luck.newkidontheblock wrote:She's the one for me. She's even better in person than I could have ever imagined. There was a discussion topic about how good women can treat their men? She already knows that it will be a difficult life for her (because of me), but she's happy despite all this. That's a thumbs up wow in my book.
Don't worry, be happy.

I heard they got some good business advice from Hotdigr and went on to live a happy, well-adjusted and financially successful life by the sea. Classic Sihanoukville story.Lucky Lucan wrote:Where are they now though?

It's common enough in the UK and sometimes in Ireland to refer to women (generally the more attractive type) as "birds". It's mostly a general term, and recognized as being a little coarse, like calling women "chicks" is. So you might use the word when you are with your friends, but in general parlance you wouldn't, and definitely not in reference to any woman special to you. Unless you are Australian.newkidontheblock wrote:

"We, the sons of John Company, have arrived"
And then you would call her a Sheila, unless she's special and the she would be a Bonza Sheila.Lucky Lucan wrote: So you might use the word when you are with your friends, but in general parlance you wouldn't, and definitely not in reference to any woman special to you. Unless you are Australian.
