Where do you live?
pew, pew, pew, pew!
Fewer active posters my lilywhite arse. Two weeks ago we reached 777777 posts. In the two weeks since then we have had an additional 4000 posts made by around 160 different posters. If that is slow performance on a web forum I would love to know what you think good should look like.violet wrote:I'm just wondering how many board members live outside of the Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville catchments.
... there seem to be fewer than ever active posters on here these days though, so the poll is useless before it even gets started.
Haven't checked but I would say most of them. Every forum has a hardcore of dominant posters. They come and go. a forum of this kind will always have posters who sign up for a week or so to ask specific questions and then go. There is nothing unusual about that. The forum has never been more active despite the oft trotted out cliche that it is dying.violet wrote:I will rephrase.... dominant active posters.

At the risk of channeling Chuangt2u here, I would be very interested in seeing the number of unique posters who posted in October 2016 compared to October 2015, October 2014, October 2013, and October 2012.scobienz wrote: In the two weeks since then we have had an additional 4000 posts made by around 160 different posters. That will show how much more or less active the forum is than it was four years ago.

It should be easy enough for Scobienz to give us that info. He can just extract the data into a .csv file for us.violet wrote:

PP for the past 6 years but if things work out well I'll move to Bangkok next year, otherwise Surin. The money was good in Cambodia but now my daughter is growing up Thailand seems a better place than Cambodia.
Whenever a Phnom Penh driver (typically but not necessarily in an SUV that costs more than a London townhouse) pulls a dumb-assed move that nearly flattens my bicycle and me (which is to say on a daily basis), I think, "That's it. I'm moving to Battambang. Tomorrow."
Then of course lethargy and complacency take over. One of these days, though, tomorrow may arrive. I do like Battambang, at least to visit.
