Back in 2009 was in the countryside drinking rice wine, the hosts caught 2 massive centipedes in his back yard about the size of my arm length, threw them into the rice wine jar overnight -- we rented out a boat the next day and drank it to and from floating village. Dont know if its the wine or the centipedes, the host's nephew got complete drunk and beat up a rice farmer kid on a rice paddy.
EVERYONE BOW DOWN TO HIS MAJESTIES phat kunthea™
I'm not sure - I've got a pic of one marginally smaller than this caught in Thailand, it's on my other 'pooter though and can't find the sucker on Google for now. I'm going with legit on this one!
Also saw one in the skin on Koh Dach that was at least 30cm with the full body/armour plating developed

After reading this thread i'm starting to feel sorry for all these persecuted bugs now. It's like Jock Jock but for bugs. Apart from those evil looking centipedes, the fockers. I cut a little one in half in my bathroom the other week. The two halves didn't stop wriggling so i had to mash it to make it stop. I don't want one of them in any of my orifices in the night.
If i see a cockroach in the bathroom though i always do the right thing...and wake the girlfriend up now for her to deal with it. Got abit of a phobia about the smelly juice squishing out and don't like killing things.
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
