My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

Does the ticket say 'Void after 21 July 2016 ' ?gavinmac wrote:It appears that Kaj Naparstok was a gambler at Nagaworld. One June 1 he posted in Facebook that he was off to Nagaworld for three days along with this photo of a casino funds ticket:
I'm impressed he was able to find out that the woman was jailed on another charge and get anything back.

Ah ok just re reread the post, it just proves he was a regular gambler. Never seen this type of credit voucher before though, I'd rather throw the win in the bank but, he may have his reasons.

The problem with the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

You wouldn't really even leave the casino with this ticket without cashing it in at the gate first. Years back when Casinos stopped filling the machines with coins which would drop out the bottom when someone either won or cashed out their credits they moved to this new paper system. If you put a hundred dollar bill in and then press cashout out immediately this same ticket will be printed out and you can take it to the gate to collect your cash money or put it directly into another machine and play with whatever amount was on the ticket. They literally look the exact same all over the world.Piston Broke wrote:Ah ok just re reread the post, it just proves he was a regular gambler. Gangsters have laundered millions doing exactly this in Vancouver and I am sure other places. Fill up a machine with ill gotten cash, up to just under Ten grad which goes unreported as a transaction, press the cash out button, bring the ticket to the gate and collect your cleaner cash. Tax free winnings on lottery in Canada.
Dumb bitch,if she hadn't dropped the bag of ice, right in front of the Prey Sar cops, she would be one wealthy hooker.

In the USA casinos will generally ask for ID when you cash out $2,000+. They have to get ID and do paperwork for IRS purposes if you win over $1,200, and there's a prohibition on "structuring," i.e. making multiple transactions of under $10,000 which total over $10,000. So it's not easy at all to launder money this way.kansaicanuck wrote:

Also, payers will often leave the casino with these tickets and then bring them back later, it's more convenient than carrying around cash. But yes, having a ticket worth thousands of dollars doesn't mean the guy "won" anything, he could have put $15,000 into the machines over an evening and then cashed out the ticket for $9,000.
The amazing thing about these tickets is how often players lose them inside the casino. Back when casinos spit out coins, players would rarely just leave their bucket of coins sitting around unattended. But it's not uncommon for players to run up hundreds of dollars in credits on a machine, then they go to the bathroom, then they come out and they are shocked that someone has walked by "their" machine, hit the cash out button, and walked off with their ticket. Then they complain to the casino and ask the casino to reimburse them for the hundreds of dollars they just lost. I never had a lot of empathy for those players.
Some guys will hang out in the casino, befriend other players and start chatting with them about the machines they are playing, then they or an accomplice will hit the cash out button and take the ticket right from under the other player's nose too.

That's interesting and probably way ahead of what happens in BC for example. I guess since lotto/casino winnings are 100% tax exempt in Canada they never put in place a way to successfully stop this "structuring". Since Casinos are run through Crown Corporations they are apparently way behind on this which isn't really all that surprising. Even under the new rules we still don't have to show ID unless the transaction/win is over $10,000 or if a player makes more than a $10,000 transaction within a 24hour period they must show government ID. So now there is the "Joint Illegal Gaming Investigation Team" who are trying to stamp out all this illegal money flowing though Casinos unfettered. 2015 alone they figure 120 Million in suspicious transactions went through the casinos. In one month in 2014, 27 Million worth of suspicious transactions through just two Casinos alone.gavinmac wrote:

Saw a Singaporean guy won nearly 40k on a Baccarat table at Nagaworld, when he cashed out they didnt ask for no ID other than a bunch of security guards pampering and swarming all over him for tips.kansaicanuck wrote:

We also used to have a lot of players just accidentally drop the tickets on the floor and not notice. Then someone walks by and picks it up. Hard to lose $100 in quarters that way, pretty easy to lose a $100 cash out ticket. Especially since casino patrons tend to be a bit more prone to theft than regular people.Miguelito wrote:
Rumor has it you have no empathy at all. However I think you purposefully posted this sentence, perhaps as a subtle troll?
The casino can lock out the ticket if someone reports the theft and the casino can determine which ticket was stolen by checking records of the machine and noting the time the victim cashed out. A savvy thief will cash out the stolen ticket at the cage as soon as he gets it and walk out the door before the casino is notified of the stolen/lost ticket.
