My apologies Sir, I had not seen that thread. It seems to have popped up on a Saturday and died a quick death before I resurfaced on the Monday. I agree, it was in fact Captain Bonez that reneged, and not you. I also agree that that polling methodology is terrible, as anyone could vote a thousand times, and it's more than difficult to scan through 35 categories, looking at them independent of one another, and choose names at a whim without being able to go back. Needless to say, I think people would like to see your version, and he did agree that you were correct:gavinmac wrote:Renege? He posted the 7th 440 awards thread and poll ten days ago. Just let Captain Bonez have his moment with the awards polling. I'm content just to argue with fan sellers and ex-wives this month.

I can understand why there are lots of flies in Siem Reap, it's for the same reason there are lots of rats. A lot of it is fucking filthy. Some parts are always filthy, other parts filthy until the garbage collectors or the sifters and recyclers get to work.
What I struggled to understand whenever I went there was why there are so many flies in Australia when you get out of the cities. What the fuck do they all eat? What the hell do they all lay their eggs on? It's not like a stroll through the bush involves being assailed by the stench of death due to the carrion carpet all around. Sure, shit dies there but most is alive so what is the little bastards' racket? How do they get to be so prolific?

It's an interesting question. I'm wondering at the moment why there are so many mosquitoes around when it's so (relatively) cold. But this happens every year. Most of the time I don't have any mosquitoes in my house, it just seems weird that most of them turn up in the cold and relatively dry times.bipolar bear wrote:I can understand why there are lots of flies in Siem Reap, it's for the same reason there are lots of rats. I have no idea. I set up this cockroach zoo in about 1991. It was just a big yogurt container with a window - it had a sofa and a nice backdrop and some ornaments and decorations. I threw a couple of cockroaches in and a cube of bread, then I sealed the whole thing shut with tape. There were fucking thousands of roaches in there a few months later, and they hadn't gotten a goddamn crumb of sustenance from outside. They just bred and bred out of nothing. Eventually I was grossed out by this so I threw the whole thing down the chute. How do they get to be so prolific?

Cockroach zoo. I think you actually set up the worlds first controlled environment Cockroach Cannibal Container. I can only assume they were breeding their own offspring for livestock. Cockroach husbandry involving their own kids, filthy motherfuckers. When they got hungry they'd just eat Little Johhny or Young Davey.Lucky Lucan wrote: I have no idea.
