Why so many flies everywhere in Siem reap?
I've travelled to many cities in my life, but never have I ever seen so many flies in a city before. I thought flies belonged in the countryside. But in Siem reap they're everywhere. Why?
Can't be worse than in India. I remember being in Bodhgaya in early December '04 and you could barely eat outside due to the constant fly buzzing. The waiters cure was to take a gasoline soaked rag and wipe the table with that - GAG!

You should hear ricecakes' story from his time liberating Guatemala from the commies. The flies hovered around his dags to the point where his arse got infected.mrdome wrote:Can't be worse than in India. Luckily you were right there to suck them out like nitrous out of a Hanoi Balloon.Starving Pelican wrote:You should hear ricecakes' story from his time liberating Guatemala from the commies. See, if Captain Bonez hadn't coopted the awards again this would have been nominated in my "Dumbest Question of the Year" category. Along with "What's the Retail Price of a Used Yellow Ethernet Cable" and many others.

Shoo fly don't bother me.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

I was going to do them but Bonez beat me to it with his poll, so it's his show. His 35 categories are enough.violet wrote:gavinmac wrote:See, if Captain Bonez hadn't coopted the awards again this would have been nominated in my "Dumbest Question of the Year" category. Flies lay their eggs in garbage and excrement. Proper sanitation is the key.

gavinmac wrote:I do appreciate your attempt to "change" the categories by cutting and pasting 33 of them and then adding two more. But as we agreed, I'll handle the awards this year; we'll do them in mid-December or whenever I get back from Angola. Thanks.
