I have three in university. They were taught at a young age to be well behaved. That's what I taught them and that's what they are.
Typically here infants here are indulged and get away with blue murder until they reach a certain age when the law is laid down.
I find Cambodian kids to be much more docile and respectful in group settings than western kids.

For the most part true. I think it's an unfortunate but natural tendency to want to spoil hour kids after having such a difficult youth oneself. So, they allow them a bit more freedom than they had themselves, IMHO.
The biggest crime as an adult is yelling. you can be a drunk, druggie, dealer, whatever, but if you're loud with your voice, THAT'S a real crime here.
(I'm not talking about loud music during weddings and funerals - that music is to attract good spirits during weddings and keep away "bad spirits" during funerals.)
Loud yelling by adults is a crime here.
