Careful where you poke around. Not everybody on that list is a crook. Sometimes some poor fool crosses paths with a powerful oknha on a business deal and is easily eliminated from the competition by immigration.

The birth month doesn't match though. The Toby posted in the airport was born in August 1973.kansaicanuck wrote:UK records search for births with anyone Nelham surname. Not many Nelhams out there actually. But that one from 73 almost matches and Tory could look like Toby fairly easily when written by a Khmer.
Oh, and Brit Kevin Brian Hunt born in 1956 is still up on the list too, as previously mentioned.

I bet gavinmac secretly hopes that this new thread of his morphs into another insidiously odd and tortuously awkward one, akin to his original, chart-topping "Gregory Michael Blake, the police may be looking for you" thread of infamy.
If Toby is a savvy chap, he'll tuck his head in, stay indoors and just busy himself with keeping that Thai wife's ankles pinned behind her ears and for god's sake stay away from 440.

I've not heard of him, my surname is Nelhams my brothers middle name is Toby, but he's never been to Cambodia and like somebody else posted it's not a very common name. I would say it's a typo at the airport, it's hard for my friends and people I met to pronounce and after a long while in Cambodia and other Asian countries only a handful of times has somebody got it right.
How did you find out about this thread?smahlen wrote:I've not heard of him, my surname is Nelhams my brothers middle name is Toby, but he's never been to Cambodia and like somebody else posted it's not a very common name. You have a friend in Finland who regularly Googles your rare surname and immediately notifies you if he sees 'Nelhams' in any article online for a laugh, within hours of it being posted? Okay.smahlen wrote:Edwardo wrote:How did you find out about this thread?smahlen wrote:I've not heard of him, my surname is Nelhams my brothers middle name is Toby, but he's never been to Cambodia and like somebody else posted it's not a very common name. Seems like they emigrated from Norway to Finland a few minutes ago. Surprised they had time to let you know.Edwardo wrote:You have a friend in Finland who regularly Googles your rare surname and immediately notifies you if he sees 'Nelhams' in any article online for a laugh, within hours of it being posted? A simple mistake on my part. Check the latest post and enjoy your night.
You are in Cambodia now, or Thailand? When you enter Cambodia, do the immigration authorities pull you aside and question you at all about your unusual name being the same as a person of suspicion posted on the wall?smahlen wrote:bipolar bear wrote:Seems like they emigrated from Norway to Finland a few minutes ago. The guy's identity should remain a mystery unless someone digs up an outstanding warrant for murder or something. You can get put on one of those lists just for visa infractions or anything, unless you have proof that it's anything heavy his name shouldn't be posted here. Just my five cents.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
