Just informed today of the sad passing of long time Cambodia resident Eric in Auckland today. Some of you may know Eric from when he ran the Bokor Mountain Lodge in Kampot. He truly was a genuine and kind soul.
I regret not spending more time with you mate outside your place in Kampot watching the river and the world go by and talking nonsense.
My heartfelt condolences to Eric's wife and children who I know were battling bureaucracy to see him in New Zealand before he passed.
R.I.P Eric

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did–in his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.
Not good news,
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Was just talking with him on messenger 2 days ago, he was sounding in good spirits as his wife and children were on their way from Cambodia to be with him, thankfully they arrived and had a chance to spend some time with him before he passed.
Rest easy Eric, we will remember...miss you bro!

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Seems like just yesterday PSD Kiwi and I were drinking beers with him on Anzac Day 16
He ended up with my Jeep Cherokee .
