what would be an appropriate introduction - not even sure any more, lol.
am balkan scum originally, that tends to every few years change geolocation, but have been looking to the far east and southeast asia for the last couple of years.
as it so happens, my gf is taiwanese and have been here for the last 2 months or so now.
but am soon landing in cambodia on my own. am one way or the other staying for the long haul.
some basic orientation however can go a long way.
and here's where i stand.
looking to get a cheap place for the first week or two.
sihanoukville or around - preferrably around.
drug-wise am, honestly, looking for 2 things: meff (as, let's face it, no other cognitive steroid gives you that razor sharp focus when needed in the short-term) and oxycodone (as an ex-junkie, i don't need to go any further from, well - what my needs require..)
and i need good internet connection.
if you have to ask - i have to catch up with a lot of things real quick.
if you have to ask further - i have none of the morals and all of the ethics, and make a clear cut distinction between those categories.
all that said, and without yet having had a whiff of that air there (tho i think i'm getting a sense of what to expect), i would be more than happy to actually volunteer or work for less (i honestly wouldn't even feel good being paid the salaries i hear they pay to teach english) - my english is flawless, know some coding and am good with computers and have basically done so many kinds of different jobs i think my resume looks pretty weird at this point.
all that said, i don't even drink much nowadays and prefer to keep a distance from the worst of what cambodia has to offer - been there, done that and lived to tell the stories which aren't even worth telling...
landing soon, introduction and some questions

coming from israel, year and a half there.
the desert ain't exactly where you go looking for cheap drugs.
prague before that, didn't associate with any of the meth heads.
anyway - don't feel compelled to give an extensive autobiography.
but feel free to dick around, i don't mind it.

It's good to hear you don't drink too much anyway.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

i had been heavily dependent on heroin and pharmaceutical opioids from the age of 17 to around about 24-25.
beat hepatitis C twice.
crazy as it may sound, i can barely believe it myself when i think about it.
been through my phases of alcoholism and what have you.
somewhere along the way discovered iboga - three flood doses and an year of microdosing is what helped tremendously, but its never a silver bullet.
however, i've been stable for many years now, and after the above mentioned iboga i haven't felt depressed since and all my gastrointestinal illnesses have vanished with it. showing the correlation between the two i guess.
if any of this may be saying something to anybody.
i have no interest in drugs per se.
i'm a nerd.

That's the thing about being perfect, you get to criticise everyone who doesn't meet your standards.gavinmac wrote:Just your average Sihanoukville flop house-seeking meth head who wants to avoid the worst of what Cambodia has to offer.
ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.
i don't mind.vladimir wrote:That's the thing about being perfect, you get to criticise everyone who doesn't meet your standards.gavinmac wrote:Just your average Sihanoukville flop house-seeking meth head who wants to avoid the worst of what Cambodia has to offer.
i tend to respond to what resonates and filter the rest.
which is why i don't intend to, as i said, socialize much.
Soon another sad statistic. Why is cambodia such a magnet for drugpat losers that give us sexpats a bad name ?
erm... remember that time you gave me so much grief for beingvladimir wrote:That's the thing about being perfect, you get to criticise everyone who doesn't meet your standards.gavinmac wrote:Just your average Sihanoukville flop house-seeking meth head who wants to avoid the worst of what Cambodia has to offer.

bad name?
pft, i don't know man.
might be something to do with the fact that, as my sister told me, you can even find signs in bathrooms there reminding the likes of you that paedophilia is a criminal offense. actually spelled out in plain english, for the english speaking crowd of 'sexpats'.
or maybe to do with the fact that going to a place like cambodia for the sex and viagra is plain fucking disgusting from any possible angle you can look it from?
in case i haven't clarified that enough by now - you and your kind make me sick, and that's another reason i prefer to keep it low, so i don't fall in the statistics, as you say, but not because of the drugs, you see...
in the end, nobody's a winner, i can assure you.
happy you feel like such a winner tho - i imagine that overall low cambodian IQ can really make a 'sexpat' like you feel like a REAL man and a WINNER.
and - did i come to the wrong place? begins to seem so.

Take no notice of logos, nyxx. He's a dick.
Before long Phuket Richard will be along with another implied Thailand is much better than Cambodia posts.
