Apologies Dom, but upon reading the OP again I see no reason to expect it to receive replies you think it deserves. I have copied it below, it seems like an emotional and not well thought out rant. I would suspect he got done by a bar girl or is just a troll. You agree with what he has typed?dom_wave wrote:Sorry but I don't feel that the OP must put up with it or leave. They were making a statement on something that is very relevant to all of us on this forum, but nobody seems to be able to elaborate on it very well.
I know that shooting down will follow, but I do agree with the OP that greed is so extreme in Cambodia compared to other nations, and it does effect the way that your average Cambodian behaves in all aspects of life. To feed the greed one is often dishonest in scenarios involving financial transactions.
I have not had as much dishonesty anywhere else in the world.

These people see theirselves as superior and can't stand anything if you would have something to say over them.
I spoke with a doctor from Swiss the other day and he said that he suspect they have some kind of psychological deficiency. Nobody wants or dares to speak or write about it.

I see also that most foreigners really don't see the way they behave, they are wearing pink sunglasses or something.
In January 2005, two teenage North Koreans were shot and stabbed in St. Petersburg. The same year another North Korean was beaten to death in Vladivostok. In Indian student told The Economist that he was so fearful of skinhead attacks he walked around alone, even in his own neighborhood, only in the morning and only traveled into the city center of Moscow with a large group.
In the summer of 2003, a 19-year-old medical student from Malaysia was beaten at a McDonald’s apparently because she was a Muslim. She told the New York Times, “They were just laughing, laughing. It was because of my head scarf. They didn’t like me wearing this.”
In 2004, Reuters reported: “Racists stabbed a 20-year-old Vietnamese student to death in the city of St. Petersburg, police said in the latest violence blamed on extreme Russian nationalists. “Police said Vu Anh Tuan's body was found with at least five knife wounds after a group of 15 to 20 youths attacked him late at night. Prosecutors said 15 people had been detained. Around 100 Vietnamese students gathered at the murder scene to protest against the killing and demand protection from the police against racist attacks, which are linked to a growing number of fascist and racist organizations. We do not have drunken fights, we do not steal, we do not sell drugs and we have the right to protection from bandits," said one demonstrator. Students who witnessed the stabbing said the attackers wore semi-military uniform, leather jackets and boots, and had shaven heads.”
Nearly 60% of black and African people living in Russia’s capital Moscow have been physically assaulted in racially motivated attacks, says a new study.
ut one detail jumped out of the latest report. Of the 603 deaths, 67 were attributed to “attacks by nationalist groups.”
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/3 ... -boutilierRussia is a deeply racist country that holds minorities in open contempt — not quite the equivalent of Jim Crow, but still distressing. The default names for Central Asians and Caucasians are the derogatory churki and khachi, for Ukrainians khokhly and for Jews zhidy; but don’t be surprised if you hear “black a**es” to refer to swarthier ethnics, including Armenians
