I also don't really care beyond letting people know that it wasn't my bike and not this particular Irishman involved.
That said, the article doesn't tally at all with any pictures and reeks of lazy journalism; most likely somebody (probably a copper) snapped a few pics and sent a rough translation of what he felt happened (or gathered from the five minutes after the fact Chinese whispers) to his mate at the KS.
If a reporter had been there there would be video, the fact that his girlfriend is kathoey would be mentioned, his age wouldn't be wrong and there would be some explanation of why the guy has wounds on his left side and the bike is smashed on the left side. Because that was definitely a crash.
I'm not going to defend either one; but this definitely isn't the full picture and neither of them are saints.
yep
if some guy getting shouty with some khmers at a pizza place down street 51 can make the national tv news and have video footage
or some english guys getting shouty outside pontoon because of a bill for a broken glass get videod
i think some guy going round beating up his girlfriend, members of the public, and police whilst also having a big crash with his motorbike yet we only get a few photos and a piss weak news report online....
not convinced tbh, if it was as bad as the online report states there would be far more facts/information/evidence
