Well, it was his own claim in the bankruptcy case that he had borrowed $25,000, $16,000, $4,000, $2,000, and $2,000 from people with Cambodian names and also owed $3,000 to a landlord with a Cambodian name, despite earning a lucrative income.
That's a fair point. I didn't intend to dig up dirt on him, he posted under his real first name with a photo of himself as his avatar and mentioned that he had written an essay about his life published in a book called "Children of the Killing Fields." Then at some point I googled his name because I got a vibe that he was a nutter. That led to the bankruptcy stuff, which I wasn't all that interested in, until reading his rants this week about Americans being materialistic and financially irresponsible.
I don't think mental illness is a good excuse for bilking people out of money.
