I would chime in but I'm mentally all over a cashier right now.

How many well-known riverside restaurants could there be that Marvin and family always throughly enjoy and that have a ten year old girl hanging out in the kitchen?
I'm going to guess @@@ No one throughly enjoys Riverside Bistro. He's probably going to @@@ with his family for the $5 Fridays.

Thanks for your comments Scoffer, we are totally on the same page with this. Funny how this is the only time I have felt this way in all my time in Cambodia. My Australian wife who is a school teacher was also there and felt the same way.scoffer wrote:In reply to Ricecakes and Jackal.
I fully understand your reply.
I have two step children in Cambodia.
If they were in Oz,
I'd take them to the beach, the local pool or just walks in town and show them affection by hugs, kisses.
I'd hold their hand as we walked down the street.
Doing that in Cambodia has led to frowns and other comments that have lead to a few sharp words in the street with a final "FUCK OFF YOU STUPID WHITE CUNT ...., " issued by me.
That's why I said in my initial comment, it's difficult to reply as different people have different perceptions of what is going on.
But I will back Marvin on this, I doubt he is the type of person to imagine what is going on.
I guess it's all subjective...some people may view it as normal, acceptable behaviour....just because it's her dad, step-dad or ex-stepdad or whatever.
Don't mention the Giant Panda in the room.

You never want to be in agreement with Scoffer. He has weird judgment on everything.Marvin wrote: Thanks for your comments Scoffer, we are totally on the same page with this.

Another informed guess would be that it takes about 6 minutes for a cashier to perceive your interest and cast you off.gavinmac wrote:How many well-known riverside restaurants could there be that Marvin and family always throughly enjoy and that have a ten year old girl hanging out in the kitchen?

So, why didn't you inquire about the suitation when you paid and left? Im sure they would have explained.

I wasn't there so I can't judge. Fact is that I keep my daughter at more than arms length after having been shot down on this very forum....

I understand your pain and worry.
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Sounds creepy to me.
I would have tried to engage him in conversation to find out more.
No father is constantly all over their kid as described by Marvin.
