Why would you call someone and say "hey you have my dog, please give it back"?

Why not call and say "I'm very interested in your Husky. Can I please come and see it in person?" and then bring along the police that "would like to talk to him"?

If you google the phone number of the dog thief it shows that the number is listed as an alternate number for Millennium Guesthouse in Siem Reap.

If you run +85577316144 through the Facebook search, this account comes up:

Did you tell Charles Hanger this? He was the one who called the thief and said it was his dog, he may not think to google/FB search the number.

This ad on the top of theMillennium Guesthouse Facebook page lists this phone number 077 316 144 as the primary phone number for the guesthouse, specifically for a Mr. Heng Bunmeng:

On that personal web page, he posts various things for sale, cars, phones, etc.

Good work Gavin. It could be one of a few things:
1-Bunmeng bought a dog then got tired of it and wanted to sell it (unlikely).
2-Bunmeng stole the dog himself (unlikely).
3-Bunmeng buys stolen dogs (turns a blind eye to it) and sells then back.
4-Bunmeng buys dogs from various people and sells them. Wasn't aware it was stolen.

I personally think #3 is most likely, though posting a very foreign breed for sale in English to foreigners is a bit stupid. I still wouldn't put it past anyone though...
