So Khmers getting themselves registered and legal from all over Cambodia to work in Thailand?
Because of the Chinese taking over Sihanoukille and nicking all their jobs?

Bit of a leap.

Historically hasn't there always been a large migration of Khmer workers to Thailand, both semi permanent and long term? It's got fuck all to do with the chinks, who have only really been on everyone's radar for what 18 months and mainly in SHV.

Maybe they just want to earn more and have "stuff". I don't know. I'm not trying to defend the Chinese. I just irritated when everything is just blanket blamed on the Chinese.

600 a day leave Sihanoukille?
So nearly 22k leave annually to work in Thailand? On top of the existing workers who already work in Thailand?

Do have a source for this information or is it out of your arse?
My gf has a l-a migrant visa and 2 year wp for thailand. I was at the migrant workers registration office in arranyphet ,across from poi pet to get her wp oct 2nd. Was also there last may. Spoke with an agent and thai officals and he said they process an average of 600/ day!! And have been for over 2 years. This is all khmers not those from snv. No idea how many are in thailand illgealy. No idea why you thought I meant snv.
Hope that is good enough for u
IF thailand lost its Khmers and Burmese migrant workers the fishing, garmant and construction, would stop

^ I'm not doubting the numbers.
Maybe you should have asked him how many they were processing daily two years ago?

My point is just because there are lots of Cambodians working over in Thailand does not mean it is the Chineses fault. You already listed an article that says the government gave all workers the chance to get legal, maybe that is partly why there is such a high number. I don't know and nor do you so stop guessing!

"JC International Airlines launched a new regular flight connecting the cities of Siem Reap and Chong Qing in China, a service that seeks to capitalise on the increasing number of Chinese visitors to the kingdom.

The airline is also planning a new direct flight between Sihanoukville and Chong Qing,” he added

Quick. Everyone leave!

The low end business men were the first expat casualties when they started enforcing the tax laws. Specifically back tax. I'm not surprised there wasn't much posted about it on 440 though.

I think I read something about back taxes in the Cambodia Daily.

Unlike the Daily, a lot of the low enders managed to pass on their Businesses to the unsuspecting. Oh, wait a minute.

I have been trying to explain what will happen for the last two months but it appears that K440 readers have the attention of a budgerigar.

So come away from that mirror and stop trying to peck yourself.

The old useless unmarried pensioners will go first, their next visa will be a short one and they'll have to go home to get another one, which will be not more than 3 months, and will not be eligible for renewal within Cambo.

Next to go will be the NGO's. They will be required to register and prove their worth, show income and outgoings, which most won't be able to because it's got CIA written all over it.

The TEFLers will have to have not less than a Batchelor degree and will have to have it notarised by their foreign office, they will also need a CRB certificate, again notarised.

So if you're in the above categories, start packing, but don't pack for China because that's where it all came from.

Sleep tight.
