Is there a difference between taking your wife or girlfriend to Pontoon or to a girlie bar ?

After all both are full of "prostitutes", even on a occasional basis. Aren't therefore the Pontoon club managers the biggest pimps in town ? Some could argue that they live off prostitution, selling overpriced drinks to punters.

The entire point of working in a girlie bar is to be barfined and make more money. Yeah that's prostitution. Bargirls make as little as garment factory workers without all the extras.

What a piss poor start of a thread. Is it wrong to bring your girlfriend to a grocery store because prostitutes shop there?

Really depends on what she likes , I am quite happy to take her to Van's, La Residence or Le Royal at week ends, but tend to go more for Bouchon for week day evenings out. Not really a club type person but Pontoon is a bit "low class" really. I'm not knocking the place but really not my scene when there are so many nice clubs around to visit. To be honest the "lower class" girls I know prefer to go and eat and drink at KTV type places, and get the opportunity to sing, but are quite happy to go to Mings or Black Cat when the live music is on.

What is piss poor is your analogy. "Is it wrong bring your gf to shop where sales ladies are occasional prostitutes" would make more sense. And that's the point of my question, which you haven't answered.

Yeah, but in many cases bargirls get paid by the minute rather than the hour, and like security guards get to sleep on the job.

No, there is no difference in taking your wife or girlfriend to either Pontoon or a girlie bar.

But there is a difference on these businesses modus operendi, weather you bring your GF there or not.

As far as I know Pontoon does not hire girls who only work for drinks or encourage freelance prostitutes to ply their trade there to profit for the bar through barfines or ladydrinks. They do not have lady drinks (Maybe, I havent seen that) and do not barfine their workers, thus they are not really actively working for or promoting their business as a place that profits directly from freelance prostitution or otherwise. Sure lots of prostitutes are there and they could kick them out if they wanted but the business is not directly involved in these transactions is it? Girlie bars are. You could meet a freelancer at Aeon, but they are not profiting off of it directly because you sat with said hooker at browns for an hour are they?

Remember last year when youngwill was in search for some guy/guys who took girls from his place, drugged and raped them? Well I think part of the problem I have and I assume others have with some girlie bars is that guys like youngwill seem to have no problem offering this access and service while profiting directly off of it but they are not offering these girls any sort of protection when shit goes down. Maybe they are, I dont know but I think thats part of why some people have a problem with these places.

Girlie bars want to be just hands off enough to make money off these girls and to hide from or bend the rules of prostitution as its illegal but are not able to offer much for support or protections once they get their money and the punter and girl leave the bar. They are the middleman in an illegal and sometimes dangerous game. Sure its noble that he tried to track the asshole/s down but the damage was already done. Now I dont work there so I dont know if these girls were barfined or not that night but if they were barfined, then drugged and raped then thats a problem. Is Pontoon culpable if a random freelancer dances with some guy for an hour, goes home with him and gets paid for it then get raped. No, I dont think so. Girlie bars should be.

Dont forget, a lot of the 'freelancers' working late at Pontoon have already done a full shift in one of the various girlie bars. Some go there to dance, some go there to find money.

I've been to both, I've been to both with my girl and probably will go in the future too but that doesn't mean that I dont see some of the problems with the girlie bar scene or pretend its just another regular bar, its not.

That's just my take. I dont have a huge problem with girlie bars, but lets not pretend they are anything other than what they are.

i want to try to defend the hostess/girlybar thing, as im a regular frequenter to the bars, mainly just as a drinker these days and usually hit many in a night,

there are plenty of bars where the girls can just work for salary and drinks and have the freedom to turn down customers etc

but then ive also been in many bars where ive seen a customer who wants to bar fine a girl who really doent want to go, but are forced to do so by the bar owner/manager

so i completely see both sides of the argument, you cant say every bar/bar owner is the same, cuz theyre not, but i can see why some people have their opinions

Re. Youngwill and protection. Not what you are referring to, but of note is, the girls feel safe living/sleeping above Will's premises because of the number of cameras and the lighting...in entranceways and on stairs.

young will is a whoremonger and this has to be one of the most stupidest threads ever the third man really what a desperate attempt to increase the post count.I don't know many people in Cambodia whose girlfriends are not ex prostitutes and /or very poorly educated. a good Cambodian girl wouldn't fuck a barang . I am not saying it doesn't happen but it's few and far between. I laugh when you see these guys change their Facebook profile to in a relationship or engaged and the picture of the girlf that they are getting married to is some trollop that you banged a couple of years ago from the strip.
