Otis, I really don’t follow your point. Please explain how you feel that they aren’t contradictory.otis wrote:"I read some research a couple of years ago. Something like 80%+ of girls working in hostess bars said they were ashamed of what they do and have told their family back in the sticks that they work in a hotel or restaurant.
I’m not judging workers or patrons but clearly not all hostess bars are the wonderful places you seem to be extolling. And not all girls working in them would be there if they felt they had the choice."
"Youngwill has said here before that 95% of the girls working in his bars have been honest and told their families back home that they work in a girlie bar! I kinda laughed at that and would tend to believe your numbers over his."
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Cambodia. The above-cited statistical results are mutually confirmatory and are in no sense contradictory. The number of bargirls currently working a waitresses in the Blue Pumpkin is exceeded only by the number of farmgirls currently telling mama and all and sundry in the village that that is where the will work when they arrive in PP.
One says 80%+ lies to parents, another says 95% are honest to parents.
They can’t both be true. Therefore if one is true it surely contradicts the other.
