This is the time of Asia. Good for this guy, pink or whatever colour!
They leave their country's nightmarishly cold winters to warm their ungrateful selves here, feed themselves with money earned from opportunities given to them so they can live each day with a full belly and yet disparage and mock the people of this country!
Who says the nouveau riche have no taste?

Penelope Pitstop!
I notice a huge influx of super cars lately.

I'm sure the owner cares about anyone's opinion. Especially an expat.

Not all behave like that. The point is it's a pretty tacky-looking finish on the car though, and that would be true in any country. Nobody would have mentioned it if it was blue or any standard color.antiparasite wrote:

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

No, I think the point is that it's a 6 figure car tooling around in a 3rd world country. The absurd color is just ancillary bs which makes the whole idea that much more obscene.

I'm sure an Arab from the Gulf would also approve. Years ago I posted a 911 with a gold paint job that looked like it came out of spray cans. Also a G-Wagen or some Merc that was painted gold with pink rims and a pink logo on the hood. Pure class.

If that was true we'd have pictures of Bentleys and Rollers every day, but we don't because they aren't all that unusual anymore.lorne malvo wrote: No, I think the point is that it's a 6 figure car tooling around in a 3rd world country. I saw an old expat in this barely together Teco. It was smoking and rattling and he just about made it up the ramp to the coffee shop. The owner came out to tell him to move it, as it was pissing out oil into the drive, and an argument ensued.
After 10 mins of arguing (mostly in French. Which is irritating in itself) he moved it and had his coffee.
My point is he would look less rediculous and would have made less of a fuss if he'd pulled up in the pink Bentley.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned, maybe why the owner chose pink: my nephew is color blind, says most colors look the same and yucky. Pink looks much different to him than to normal sighted people. Just a thought; personally, who gives a shit what color car someone drives in PP?
Addendum: My apartment, brand new, khmer-style, has a pink and silver bathroom. The livingroom is purple, turquoise, and aqua. Orange is a favorite color here. They won't even notice a pink car.
These are the only accepted colours for high performance cars.

It has zero to do with affording it. Do you think miguelito likes it? I doubt it. Why, because he can't afford it? The logic...doh.antiparasite wrote:Oh the resentment of the can't-affords.
Only resentment here is yours.
It's a terrible colour for any car, let alone an expensive one. I'm surprised Bentley haven't sued.
Decent colour, nice looking car, no one complains
I can't afford a Ferrari, but I appreciate them...but seriously, a pink one? Puke.
