Hello violet ,
Delighted that you have joined this conversation and will, hopefully, bring a rational female perspective to this topic. Lust, love and cohabitation are not all the one and the same.
Yes, indeed, I did mention a social anthropological writing in one of my earlier postings. But it was not to do with "underage girls". What selectively short memorises some forum members have.
The title of the thesis and subsequent publications was:
Author: Heidi Hoefinger
Title: Sex, Love and Money in Cambodia: Professional Girlfriends and Transactional Relationships.
Publisher: Routledge. 2013, 2018 pages.
ISBN: paper 978 11 388 43233.
It's quite expensive in paperback let alone in hard cover.
Unless you have at least a basic understanding of social anthropology of Cambodia you are not even beginning to understand contemporary Cambodia.
But there are other social anthropological treaties on Cambodia dating back to the French Colonial Era. But hardly of interest to most expat bar flies.

No, that's not the book I am referring to. I think it was a French novel that had been translated. Perhaps it was a different poster.

Hello again Violet.
You may, indeed, be correct.
In the past I have mentioned the very well known and respected, now deceased, French author, Margarite Duras, real name Marguerite Donnadieu, and her several thin books about her affair as a virginal, at that time, young school girl and a Cambodian-Chinese much older first lover. It's a very good and sensitive read by the way.

But, Violet, cerebral reading is not the forte of this forum's general participants. Quite the opposite I should think?

Despite what one might think, I believe Playboy manages the odd cerebral book, as did the ex - Scobienz.Ot Mean Loi wrote:But, Violet, cerebral reading is not the forte of this forum's general participants. Quite the opposite I should think?

There are definitely others lurking.
I am now taking this thread off track and didn't mean to. I have nothing to add to the main topic.

Hello Violet.
You most certainly are not taking this thread off track.
All of the boys bravura talk to date needs a female counter balance.
So far, it's all testosterone, or lack there of, that has been giving voice to the forum so far.
But back to the OP. As the saying goes- - - If you have to ask how much it costs - then you most probably can't afford it.
I could go on but will refrain at this point.

I love comments like this, as I believe one time we scrolled up the thread and realized every poster had a master’s degree, a few with multiple, and a JD added in as well.Ot Mean Loi wrote:But, Violet, cerebral reading is not the forte of this forum's general participants.
