What's the most you've won on a beer can ring pull?
Yep...you've won a massive 1000 Riel
I see Anchor now have pull tab prizes as well, jumping on the bandwagon.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

you have to keep the ring pull along with the can it came from for any of the large prizes.

Spare cash to eat, a healthy liver heart and rectum, the close company of nature and lots of wild animals, and an total absence of idiots in my life.
All this from one ring pull - the one from that first can of cambodian beer that I never opened

Point taken. Plead guilty. I hate sanctimoniousness myself. Thanks for the buckle rap - there should be more of for every kind of self-righteousness.

So it’s 500 riel per beer redemption? If you roll up to a drink shop with 24 tabs, you hand over the tabs and 12,000 riel for a new case? The drink shop can then claim it back from their supplier, and that 500 riel/can is probably their standard margin anyway?

Probably slightly better than their average margin.Miguelito wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 7:59 amSo it’s 500 riel per beer redemption? The 500r thing is not an official fee from the brewery - or at least it never used to be with Anchor and Tiger.
With certain cigarette brands here, if you hand in three empty packets then they give you one full one free in return 3:1.
The shop then receives a 2:1 return from the manufacturer - so when I hand in six empty packets I get two from the shop, and they in turn get three from the manufacturer - everybody wins.

500r a can would be 12,000 a case, or $3.
I'm not sure about Cambodia and Angkor, but I heard Ganzberg sells cases at $15 a case, but when the dealer buys 100 cases they get 30 free, for a per case cost of ~$11.54. I just asked a staff of mine, and he said he buys a case for 50,000r, so that's a pretty crappy gross margin of $0.96 a case, or 7.68% (that is to say, without taking into account direct costs of the goods such as transport, labor, etc, nor indirect such as rent, blah blah).
I'm not sure that costing is accurate, nor if they take the same margins across different brands or not, but from the dealer perspective I would agree that it looks like $3 profit per case would indeed be better margins.
