Booking flights on Air Asia
Booking flights on Air Asia
My daughter and her daughter ( my grand daughter who is 4 years old ) are coming over for a visit, so I'm trying to book flights on Air Asia.
As they are traveling together - I try to book flights as if they are traveling together as it seems logical to me.
My daughter requires 7kgs of carry on luggage, a meal, a seat allocation and booked in luggage not exceeding 20kgs.
My grand daughter only requires the a seat allocation next to her mother and carry on luggage.
FFS - The AA website will only allow me to do this if both people flying have the same carry on luggage, the same booked in luggage and both want to pre book a meal.
How do I opt out of this and order the travel arrangements required by those traveling ???
One day I aspire to master the controls of my Microwave oven.
But I fear this online booking shit is way to far above me to master in my current life.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

take it slow and don't despair...
from memory the booking system preselects stuff and you just have to unselect it..one passenger at a time...
wasn't LJ at the ready for occasions just like this..
good luck..

He's been in his room 35 years...time to let him out!
You book the 'extra' you want.
It will show for 2 people, but just click the 'Continue' button.
On the next page (where I think you put the passenger names) you can 'un-select' the extra baggage for 1 passenger & the price reduces.

Is there a downside to booking two separate tickets and choosing seats next to each other?
Beware that they may try to tack on travel insurance at the end if you don’t opt out.

You cannot book a 4 year old on her own.
He is impaitent. What he wants to do is easy to do I have done it heaps when traveling with my daughter.
Travel Agents exist for people like Scoffer.

If it was as easy as that ,
People like me would not have a problem.

You should get the 4 year old to book the flights for you, she is probably more competent

Just spent 5 minutes doing a phantom booking like this on my AirAsia app.
Easy to select a bag and a meal for one person only.
I called Scoffer to tell him. He claimed it was different on the app than on the website, so I suggested he download the app.
...... only to be told to f off as he does not know how to download an app to his smart phone (which is definitely smarter than he is).

Ok.
So I go to the AIr Asia website and do a phantom booking.
Pretty much the same as the app. After the guest details you get to choose which pax gets what baggage allowance and the same for meals. I booked a bag for the adult and a meal for the kid. No problems.
Scoffer mate, alcohol and a lack comprehending what you are doing is not a good combination for someone who has such limited computer/internet skills.
Next time just call me and I will walk you through it. It is better to be thought an idiot rather than open your mouth (on in your case spend 10 minutes two finger typing looking for the letters on a keyboard you have used for 2 decades -as a post) and prove you are one.
Scoffer Mate, I am here for you, I've got your back, just swallow what little technological pride you have and reach out. After all, that's what friends are for.
