if you have never heard of other people who have had similar issues with that airline you must lead a sheltered life. met many thought no not me then it was my turn. heard tell american credit cards wont go through on that airline, now think carefully why would the credit card company stop its use there?

People have individual experiences some good, some bad with many other airlines, i have had myself , i am not doubting you, i am just going from personal experience and just wondering how the $600 disaster arose?

If it helps to give an idea of Scoffers IT abilities, I was at his house a while ago trying to help him save some photos.
I said I will save them to his My Documents.
He asked what My Documents was.
Not a word of a lie here.

It was a long walk and I learnt to hold my breath when I had to transgress the wet bits between Oz and Cambodia.
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Yes the existence of My Documents did surprise me,LaudJohn wrote:If it helps to give an idea of Scoffers IT abilities, I was at his house a while ago trying to help him save some photos.

I'm off to the Air Asia site to complete my bookings ( attempt No.7 )
If I fail after 10 attempts -
I will ring LJ and give him my Card number and tell him to book the flights.
It has worked in the past and his agent booking fees are very reasonable.

Success has been achieved !.
Tickets have been booked and I did it all by myself.

seems the people that have trouble with air aisa are those who do not read the fine print or cant figure out how to UNCHECK items or type in the wrong info

A few weeks ago I wanted to book a flight from Phnom Penh to Kuala Lumpur to Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Now maybe I was having a moment of Scoffer-itis, but I couldn't get the Air Asia website to do that. I had to book two separate tickets, PNH-KUL and then KUL-JOG.
Fortunately I had only carry on luggage.
At the airport in Phnom Penh I asked the lady if she could give me both boarding passes so I didn't have to visit the transfer desk at KUL airport and she said no way, because you booked the tickets separately I can only give you one boarding pass.
Then on arrival at KUL I went to the transfer desk and asked for the next boarding pass. They said no way, because you booked the tickets separately, you have to go through immigration and customs and upstairs to the departure check in desks and get the boarding pass from the counter or the machine there. Which sort of defeats the purpose of having an airside transfer desk, in my opinion.
In retrospect, I may have been able to print both boarding passes at an internet cafe before going to the airport in Phnom Penh. That would have been easier.

His issue was thus:scoffer wrote:Success has been achieved !.
Tickets have been booked and I did it all by myself.
He had added a package, meals, baggage seat selection for each person. Then he tried to deselect individual parts of the package, which cannot happen as you buy the package as a whole. You are not forced to check in 20kgs per person or eat the food you select, but you pay for it, you get it.
He realised he could just book the people and choose the items for each person.
Scoffer is a slow learner.
That Scoffer is able to do moderation on an internet forum is proof that either there are miracles, or he is an autistic savant.
