About time. Saw that prick kicking off a few times around the area. The last being one peaceful evening in Cadillac when he stormed in demanding a glass of water because as a restaurant it was the law to provide anyone with a glass of water. He obviously didn't hear the part that they had to be paying customers. Fucking neep.Bong Burgundy wrote:Australian, 49-year-old Michael Lee Moran was arrested on Phnom Penh riverside. I'm not sure that the law anywhere allows you to demand water anywhere, and if it ever was it wasn't here. In some neighborhoods in Bangkok they do actually have big urns of water outside restaurants just for passersby to scoop some water from for free, but you'd need to be pretty desperate to drink it, it's likely to be full of diseases and pathogens. The Window Licker wrote: The last being one peaceful evening in Cadillac when he stormed in demanding a glass of water because as a restaurant it was the law to provide anyone with a glass of water. In Australia (and probably other western counties also) it is required by law that any licensed venue must provide free drinking water on request. Several years ago there was a big kerfuffle in Melbourne when it was exposed that many dance venues refused to offer water to it's patrons knowing that they were dosed to high hell on drugs and were not going to purchase alcohol, only water. Some even went as far as to rig the bathroom sinks to only dispense lukewarm, occasionally soapy, water so once you paid $6 for a 250ml bottle you couldn't reuse the container.Lucky Lucan wrote:I'm not sure that the law anywhere allows you to demand water anywhere, and if it ever was it wasn't here. A few years back I was in a big, well known club in Vegas... Asked the bar for a couple bottles of water and they produced two of the small airline 250ml sized bottles. It was something obscene like $38 for 500ml of water! I guess they do that as all the people fucked up on MDMA/extacy or whatever only drink water.

But it's served in a glass bottle. Or it's Fiji water in a sort of fancy plastic bottle.kansaicanuck wrote:It was something obscene like $38 for 500ml of water! I guess they do that as all the people fucked up on MDMA/extacy or whatever only drink water.

Come of think of it you are exactly right. They were the mini Fiji water bottles. 330ml probably. And they might have been 14$ rather than whatever I said before. Either way... I suppose it's dry out there in the desert.gavinmac wrote:But it's served in a glass bottle. While on the subject of water, sorry OP...
In the biographical movie 'The Big Short' about the housing crash in 2008 which was predicted by Michael Burry, the eccentric genius who was ridiculed extensively, stated the next crisis would be water. They all laughed at him before, and he made a zillion.

Never mind.
Isn't Cape Town due to run out of water by April?RainMan wrote:While on the subject of water, sorry OP...
