Why the hell are you calling the Aussies terrorists? That article has fk all info, but from the little info provided it appears that they were ADF instructors involved in a training exercise with the RCAF on a military base/training area.
Nothing that would indicate that they are terrorists ya bloody idiot

I am no expert but I sure would not pick up a bomb.while Samnang said the two Australians were bomb experts.

Must admit the story was a bit strange, it states that the men were killed and injured while on a shooting range at a military base. It seems they noticed a "foreign object" on the range and went to investigate:Hanno wrote:I am no expert but I sure would not pick up a bomb.while Samnang said the two Australians were bomb experts.
"The Australian man and a Cambodian soldier were killed and another three, two Cambodians and another Australian, were injured in the blast at a shooting range within the base of a military “ACO” armoured vehicle unit in Phnom Sruoch district. It is believed the casualties were shooting guns at targets when they noticed something on the ground, according to Kampong Speu Provincial Governor Vy Samnang. He said they went to pick up the object – a Russian-made bomb – which then exploded. Provincial Military Police Commander-in-Chief Chuo Sarun said the three Cambodians are soldiers, while Samnang said the two Australians were bomb experts."
I would assume that these people knew what they were doing as it is stated they were "bomb experts" and would generally not handle UXO inappropriately. This was an "out of context encounter". The only way I could see this happening is that the UXO in question was a mine of some sort that either has a tamper proof device of some sort or more likely that it is old and these devices use TNT/RDX that deteriorates and becomes unstable with time.
So sorry for the family, casualties and deceased,RIP

Terrorists? Whoever this sociopath idiot is I don't know, but if the owners of this site continue to tolerate posts such as this then good luck and good night. Was a day when the owners of k440 moderated the idiot posters, at least to some degree.
Now seems not.

I was actually told that the K440 way to handle posters like sociopath was to let him post, other readers would see the junk he posts, know the type of poster he is, and then ridicule him and chase him away. But I too am sick of seeing his trash posts so I’m going to give him a day off.Clutchen Menuts wrote:Terrorists? Edit - I can see it has been changed on the opening post (I assumed that it would change on all of them once that was done)
Reading the initial reports, I suspected the Aussies may have been trainers/advisors from the ADF...but after seeing the pictures I highly doubt it.
If they were ADF trainers/advisors they would have been dressed appropriately in military uniform, not cargo shorts and sneakers. They would have been groomed to military standards also, the facial grooming could be explained if from an SF or Naval unit, but the long hair like the survivor has is a definite no-no.
It is also apparent from the deceaseds injuries, that he was not wearing any PPE, which if he was training people in UXO disposals, he would have been wearing as would the others.
It is possible they could be from a civilian organisation, ie. MAG, etc., but as I mentioned above it is obvious no PPE was been worn and even civilian org personnel wouldn't be stupid enough to be conducting training on live UXO without PPE.
I wonder, if these were a couple of tourists who had paid to go on a jolly and fire weapons, and stupidly disturbed a live UXO.
Of course, this is all speculation on my behalf, hopefully the media will clarify the details surrounding the incident.
Condolences to the deceaseds family, and hopefully the injured recover.

It does look odd.
He certainly wouldn’t have changed into civvy outfit after the tragic event that’s for certain.
Also, would they have “dug up” a live UXO on a firing range even if they were tourists? Why would one even be there if it wasn’t a training exercise?
