I can confidently say with 100% certainty that westerners have received Khmer citizenship after 2015ricecakes wrote:The last westerner I know to get a KHR passport got it by way of services to the country. He was awarded a medal or somesuch by the king.
He was however moving in lofty circles due to his job at the time and rubbing the right shouders also,
Ultimately it was the H family who approved - it cost him no money - and he was reliably told.....no more citizenship for westerners ....or .....you would at least have to be double jointed and be able to suck yourself off backwards.
This was circa 2015
buying cambodian nationality with name change
I have been told that the office handling this is not processing anything at the moment but they will relocate soon and restart after the elections. Not sure if it will be business as usual or a whole new way of working as have no insight in to thatjackrossi wrote:thanks for the wise worlds, in the recent past i used to be able to provide this service to my clients reliably now my contacts have issues thus i have been looking to find a new reliable way to do it fast as I have a particularly affluent client from a war torn country that needs it desperately.
So how did you get yours ?element_6 wrote: I can confidently say with 100% certainty that westerners have received Khmer citizenship after 2015

Another option. This guy has lived here quite a while and has submitted his docs in line with the law. He passes language criteria but the application isn’t moving forward.
So he goes on TV and requests the PM to get involved.

Slightly related. I'm a tad concerned my dipshit gf named our child with a Vnese name (in VN) as that's just like a preliminary procedure.
But i'm concerned that, technically, even though we've changed her name to a civilised one; she might have to declare this on every legal or immigration form as a known alias............
Do they ever really check? can she just bs?

What name is on the Birth Certificate? That is the legal name and will need to be used on every legal document, immigration form, etc...AnassRamaIV wrote:Slightly related. I'm a tad concerned my dipshit gf named our child with a Vnese name (in VN) as that's just like a preliminary procedure.

Unless you legally changed your childs name, then that is now their legal name, and will only have to declare previous name on documents which ask for it, ie. passport applications.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Well, thats the thing. we've changed the birth certificate. But, the dumb bitch went and got a passport in that name too.
So she got the kid a passport with the old name, then you guys changed the birth certificate? Cancel the passport and get a new one using the birth cert with the correct name...or am I missing something here?
