Well known expat/Japanese man Jun Takeguchi beats gf and flees
So, this became news last Tuesday when the victim, Annie Khan, a local expat from Pakistan, posted on her Facebook that her long term boyfriend, Jun Takeguchi, has been violently beating her.
I did not post it then as I thought it was a private matter. I just saw it was on TOF, so I messaged Annie to see if she was ok with that. She was, and asked that I post the information on her behalf, as she wants to spread the word loud and far.
I’m impressed by her bravery, and hopefully it can inspire others as well. I personally know of another foreigner here that has been in a similar situation and did not speak out.
Additionally, Annie told me that Jun was arrested for this in Paris in the past, but was released after she decided not to file charges.
I’ll let her posts speak for themselves:

Jun Takeguchi has been a member of Eurocham and Amcham, and is well known around town. Annie wanted me to pass on that “he’s done that before but this time it was over the limit and I had to break it up.”

I’m not sure there are much accepting/rejecting to them.violet wrote:Amazing who these 'chams' accept and and who they don't accept.
I think if you pay your fees and are in a suitable position then you are in. Should they do background checks?
Saying that, if true what a scumbag & good that the information is out there. Although, I wonder, in Asian culture would it hold the same level of embarrassment as in western culture?
She probably has more "Facebook friends of friends" than K440 has members, so that you finally decided to share her story, presumably to give it a wider audience, is more than a bit ridiculous. Especially AFTER you saw it posted on TOF, good grief. Maybe I just don't see the benefit of posting 2nd hand news days after the fact at all. What's next on K440 News, Putin was elected Russian president?Miguelito wrote:I did not post it then as I thought it was a private matter.

Eh, I see it differently. Someone I’m friends with on Facebook posts something, my first thought isn’t to post it here. I also didn’t think to message her and ask if she wanted it here (perhaps I should have).Alex wrote:She probably has more "Facebook friends of friends" than K440 has members, so that you finally decided to share her story, presumably to give it a wider audience, is more than a bit ridiculous. Is this the breaking story of the year? No, not at all. But I felt it still worth sharing, especially as her FB posts will eventually fall down her feed and be hidden, but we’ve all seen the remarkable ability for year old threads here to resurface.

The website is: http://investment-cambodia.asia/
And in English: http://annahome.asia/about_us/
On that site it states that they have an alliance partner: ANNACAM PARTNERS CO., LTD.
