^^ Yup, I recently got the 10 year and it’s the paper version. I used it as ID on a recent trips to the states when I got carded once. I just got an “oh, interesting”, but they let it fly. Might have been my grey hair though.

3 Weeks ago, I did go there with Junior & Mini to purchase a pair of inline skates for Junior (Mini got new shoes).ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:Decathlon shop opened today.
For anyone who does sport this place is fantastic - it’s basically a sporting goods supermarket. No longer will I have to tour around town checking various shops for a specific sporting item.
IMO prices seem to equivalent to back home - though in $ rather than £ (which makes it around 25% cheaper).
I’m delighted with the place.
Pricing indeed comparable with Europe (maybe slightly lower), though customer service sucks.
I did have to retrieve the sales guy a couple of times, while Junior was doing his "testing" rounds and making his choice. Sales staff were more interested in arrow and bow and other play games for themselves, showing off to some flashy teenage Khmer girls.

Finally located the drivers license office. Thought it was bigger. It was cramped, but still four officers at the front desk doing seemingly nothing. I took a number, but quickly decided on an immediate escape. Something did just not seem right about it. Entering my oversized corpse into their neat little world. I guess I will try some boring weekday morning, instead.

Few months in, I was avoiding traffic cops like the plague. It's a lose lose situation dealing with public officials directly as a barang here. But I'm willing to give it a try out there at their fancy new place in otherworldly Aeon 2, just from reading the other posts here.

Aeon 1 was absolutely packed yesterday. And before someone chimes in and says "but how many people actually buy anything??", not only did I make a purchase, but I had to wait in a small line to make it. Business looks good there.
There's always a bit of a queue at those $1.90 Japanese shops.

There was a nice display of Porsche cars at Aeon 1 this weekend. I was thinking, where are the roads for these cars here? I guess st. 1019 and around Aeon 2 past midnight,
Matters a jot where they can be driven. It’s the fact you own one that counts.newnewnewbie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 1:56 pmThere was a nice display of Porsche cars at Aeon 1 this weekend. I was thinking, where are the roads for these cars here? I guess st. 1019 and around Aeon 2 past midnight,
