Drama comes to those that look for it, consciously or otherwise.Stramash wrote:Believe it or not, I moved to Kampot for a quieter life. More drama than a fecking ladyboy show's dressing room.
Apparently you are one those people, given that you've spent the time to cut/paste a post here from the noticeboard. Personally, I don't know a single person in Kampot that gets involved in any of this "drama". If the Kampot Noticeboard were a soap opera, Khmer440 would appear to be it's most eager audience. Certainly the K440 crowd is far more interested in the drama than most people living in or near Kampot are.
I don't think I've read a copy of the KSG in quite a few years. About 5-6 years as I can recall. But I do remember it being a fairly humorous and useful resource for tourists, and it had no problem poking fun at Kampot and it's residents, and pretty much anything else in general.
Kampot (province and town) is a great place to live and full of great people. Most of the shitheads that show up in Kampot are tourists or transient expats and don't stick around long.

I have no idea why you quoted me here, as I spent no time at all cut/pasting a post here from the noticeboard at all. I did repost my response to the original post, but the other parts were all other people. Over and out

I wonder if a Kampot Survival Guide for running a Kampot Survival Guide could be the awnser?
Shitpot.
This sort of stuff just doesn't happen in The New Macau.

Our team have handed back all control to Steve since he doesn't seem to know what he wants.spitthedog wrote:I wonder if a Kampot Survival Guide for running a Kampot Survival Guide could be the awnser?

After a lengthy meeting involving beer, chicken wings, and a screening of Life of Brian, we have decided to split from KSG, rename ourselves The Grumpy People's Front of Kampot, and do our own thing.

This town ain't big enough for the both of us.....
Competing mags. I do believe the glossy cover will be the victor. Digital nomadic hipsters like a pleasing cover. Although, with a tiny effort a retro look could win out.
I'd like to know if poor Steve will now be handwriting everything as the Ians threw out his hugely reliable, if somewhat battleweary and filthy, laptop.

No idea, though with Steve in the UK, I have no idea of a timeframe for his return or if he will resurrect KSG in print.violet wrote:This town ain't big enough for the both of us.....

I am just happy to enter a period of post-tantrum calm

Do you have a moustache these days?
To twirl in glee?
No, almost clean shaven

Yes, you clever man. I knew you would follow the train of thought.Stramash wrote:violet wrote:Already the victor then, it seems.

There is no gloating involved. Just happy to be past the drama. It's hardly a lucrative venture, but is a bit of fun and distracts from the rather boring work projects that usually take up my days.violet wrote:Yes, you clever man. I've grown a moustache once, with the idea of eventually nurturing one of those ridiculous continental styles. The itching drove me mad after a week.
