I was working up in Preah Vihear when he kicked it.
Four years! Time flies.
He was always a pleasant customer at mine (though you would see his eyes light up when some new gossip appeared), brought much needed custom my way, and he seemed very happy together with his wife the last time we met them a few months before he died.
Four years since ..
Never had any issues with Peter despite a first meeting that was fraught with danger back in the day. Playboy was there, I believe it was at the old banana bar on riverside, garage's first avatar.
We weren't close but it was cordial enough and we had the occasional drink. Our last meeting was with scobienz when he sold 440. A few months later he was dead.

Haha I remember we set up a chain of supply to the barang tables , from the house to the church grounds across the street where the wedding was taking place.Lucky Lucan wrote:I went to a funeral in the morning and a wedding in the late afternoon after some riverside drinks. The weird thing about the funeral was that I'd been to his wedding earlier that year. The weird thing about the wedding was that they wouldn't allow alcohol. That was a first for me but we all managed.LaudJohn wrote:Wow, Logos has been married 4 years it seems.
That was the week I went to two funerals and a wedding.
Interesting that 30% of the Barangs at Pete's funeral have posted on this thread.
Glad that his wife is doing OK. She was heartbroken at the funeral, seeing her reactions then made me shed a tear.

I liked Peter, but then i never met him.
He was very cordial by email, and i heard a lot about him when I dropped into Broken Bricks
ten years ago. Sounds like the world is a lesser place for his leaving it. RIP.

I thought KiR was firm, but fair. each to their own . The thing that bothers me .about his death, its wasn't a heart attack, nor a moto accident, nor due to physical assault, no medical event .he just simple hit his head as he fell out of bed half a metre from the ground... Is that fair and square? It was a unique death, I thought.

I don't think that's what happened. Someone posted embarrassing personal stuff about him on the other forum and he read it and his brain exploded.Jep wrote:Ihe just simple hit his head as he fell out of bed

A Toxicology report might have refuted that....Jep wrote: It was a unique death, I thought.

KiR and I exchanged pms the night he had the aneurysm. He had recently joined TOF and I was using one of my handles, Dr Anik, on there to chat with him. I think it was when I told him I was actually 'kinard' that he had the short circuit.
