Hey, you forgot that time we watched Thai ladies shoot ping pong balls out of their thingysStarving Pelican wrote:As I don't live in Cambodia I don't meet up with people all that much, but I've had beers with a number of posters on a number of occasions. PH and I always end up posting rubbish on here once drunk.

Ah yes, I do remember that. Was a fun night but I don't recall it being a huge boozing night. My post above was more singling out the biggest battle cruisers.Gin&Tonic wrote:Hey, you forgot that time we watched Thai ladies shoot ping pong balls out of their thingysStarving Pelican wrote:As I don't live in Cambodia I don't meet up with people all that much, but I've had beers with a number of posters on a number of occasions. Was that T's stag night, when about 50 of us dressed as Mormons - including name badges that said 'Elder John' or the like, and then we toured dozens of girlie bars around town getting drunk and being mischievous ?Gin&Tonic wrote:First time i met Playboy he was dressed as a Mormon and slurring his words much like the only Mormon I have ever actually met (Paul G).
Based on this I believe all Mormon's to be raging alcoholics.

I guess that’d be hilarious in the US or to Americans but did any other countries expats get the joke?Playboy wrote:Was that T's stag night, when about 50 of us dressed as Mormons - including name badges that said 'Elder John' or the like, and then we toured dozens of girlie bars around town getting drunk and being mischievous ?Gin&Tonic wrote:First time i met Playboy he was dressed as a Mormon and slurring his words much like the only Mormon I have ever actually met (Paul G).

At the time there were a lot less Expats in PP and the bicycling Mormons were a very visible part of the town.

Dressing up as a Nazi or blacking up is the way forward. Well, if you’re British royalty anyway.
So is this leading to a 440 meetup?

Sorry about that bro! Coming up on 2 years sober. Actually moved back home and became an industrial electrician with the union. Things are going great. A lot more boring than Cambodia, but that isn't a bad thing.Garry Crabtree wrote:I only went on one K440 piss up, which was the wake for KiR. Actually, it was a good night and I really enjoyed talking to everyone. Until. I got accosted at the bar by Detroit Muscle who shirtfronted me and told me outright that if I was “lucky”, and worked “really” hard, I too could earn 1,500 per month teaching English…
Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.
What’s “shirtfronted”?
Does it mean getting in ones face?

A few years back I was looking for some for a party, but could not find any anywhere. Although several Khmer shops tried to sell me boot polish, those cheeky little entrepreneurs
Of course, this was before the Phnom Penh Pop Up Shop opened in Aeon Mall, I imagine that they stock all kinds of theatrical supplies.
