That’s actually not the worst suggestion you’ve ever had. I’m in….

Damn it, it makes me feel dirty when I agree with Miggles.
Back then the boozy lunch was de rigueur for a business lunch - I remember several that lasted ten to twelve hours
If Gary Crabtree was still posting he could vouch for several of them
- On a side note, I used to work for a guy in New York who was seriously old school, a three martini lunch with him was just the appetiser ... Thankfully he owned the company, so it was never an issue getting back to the office at 4PM, to pick up your stuff, and then go to another bar to carry on

Had the same in London, remember one call on one of those Nokia 1990s bricks I got from him which roughly went ...Playboy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 12:48 pm- On a side note, I used to work for a guy in New York who was seriously old school, a three martini lunch with him was just the appetiser ... Boss: Where are you guys?
Me: <looks at watch, 2.30pm> Just coming back from lunch.
Boss: Is Stewart there with you?
Me: <wonders whether to dob Stewart in for a split second>... Yes
Boss: Old Doctor Butlers (pub)?
Me: Yes
Boss: Stay there, I'm on my way...

The Old Butlers Head, I remember that its near Moorgate/Bank. Super old bar going back to the 16 or 17th century isn't it? Used to pop in there myself back in my city days.

Until the power cuts exceed 10 hours length, we are not going to get rid if the 2.0's as a Macbook Pro battery these days, last as long, if not longer.
That's the badger - there was that one or the Butler's Head, the old location got moved when JP Morgan Cazenove extended along Moorgate, so they put the entrance right at the back door of the extended office, just like before! (but none of the charm* of the old one).
* charm- US translation: really dark, small, slight smell of Chelsea pensioner wee from the basement toilets

I was wondering, do strippers in the Southern hemisphere spin around poles in the opposite direction, that strippers in the Northern hemisphere do?Jamie_Lambo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 10:51 pmPfft... the Flying Scotsman near Kingscross was the best daytime boozer in London
