It's even worse than that. If you tell people about something- good- that- you- got- going- for- you, a lot of people will actively try to Fuck something- good- that- you- got- going- for- you, up. It's not only true in tory run countries like the US, China and Vietnam, but also in the labour run ones.cumwatmae wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 5:58 amAn Indian women that has been in Australia 35 years seemed to take some delight about something in her FB feed.Apparently it was an Indian man that had been sliced in half by something or another & was begging for water.Hairy-nosed Otter wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 6:22 pmYeah it scares the bejeezus out of me too, especially when my wife delights in some of this stuff.
Happens everywhere, even among civilised people unfortunately.

They were proud of their house' ability to withstand the annual flooding. They seemed to take some delight that their neighbours were less fortunate. (Yes they may have had issues in the past etc.)
Then when something- good- that- you- got- going- for- you has been fucked up, they will sit back and laugh at you about it. It's called schadenfreude in Germany, but is a human trait.
It's that " maybe I shouldn't tell anybody about this yet" feeling you get when: something- good- that- you- got- going- for- you, happens.
