perhaps its just the hot weather but when out and about i am seeing vast amounts of this stuff being transported about and on display at shop fronts. both the pet bottles packaged in plastic and the pet bottles packed in cardboard boxes. right get to figuring out how much resources are being used on this extravaganza in manufacture, packaging, transport, and display then in transport to personal homes. yes its a huge amount in what we are led to believe is a desperately in need on NGOs country.
my upbringing in more affluent barangistan was without this bottled water thingy relying on tap water or rain from the roof in water tanks for drinking.
but OK yes in SEA i too am a PET water consumer and dont intend to change to anything else. some of the PET waters are even highly drinkable unadulterated straight out of the bottle though many aren't, you learn which is which after multiple testing

its a bit like that walking up monivong issue, you wont pass any of these desperately under privileged khmers while you are doing the walking been that way even since the first NGOs arrived, khmers are just too rich for such resource saving menial stuff like that
