How many Americans are ever found not guilty? Plenty get out on reduced sentences or pardons, but I dont see any ever being found not guilty. How is that not alarming for democracy?

Filthy Fred had a computer full of child porn in Canada and was the beneficiary of democracy by getting off on a technicality. An Australian teacher got off this week because the 12 yr old girls he rubbed is dick up against discussed the case at school, therefore “compromising” their testimony!
Ask yourself why a middle aged lawyer(who would know better) continuously engaged with young teen, and even pre-teen girl beggars, to the point of giving them significant amounts of money and taking them to his residence! Who the fuck does that?
Shove your democracy up your arse!

I appreciate your opinion what but would much prefer to see some facts maybe some articles About this that are not APLE sponsored. I am not here to talk sit on APLEI just like to have fair sources when I am trying to include my opinion on anything. I am also not sticking up for child pedophilia I am sticking up for is the right to a fair trial, Something I'm sure the people of Cambodia can appreciate.

Has anyone on this site ever looked at a report like this and thought, he has to be innocent? Or I feel like he was set up? In the land of people who run on bribery for EVERYTHING, why would scams to set up people and force bribery be so far-fetched? Is it not true that the original head of APLE is a convicted pedophile....do you guys blast him? Or was that just conspiracy and he was set up? If its the latter, you are hypocritically forming opinions in a biased manner.

I don’t know whose sock you are but I have a few guesses. I approved the post so we can all say that no, we don’t think that guy that has kiddie porn or brings young children home has to be innocent. And no, the police don’t go around arresting innocent people and framing expats for this shit. Get your head out of your ass and post your nonsense elsewhere.timsommers123 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 11:25 amHas anyone on this site ever looked at a report like this and thought, he has to be innocent? Rugh Cline's profile on the Florida Bar website now says "Delinquent" and "Not Eligible to Practice Law in Florida"
He was arrested around May 22 and his $265 annual bar dues would have been due on July 1. It looks like he didn't pay.

A suspected Russian pedophile was arrested 18. october.
He was wanted for purchase of child prostitution in Siem Reap in May (same month Rugh Cline was arrested).
Maybe he is connected to Rugh Cline's case in some way?

A Cambodian court has sentenced an American man to 2 ½ years in prison on charges of sexually abusing three underage girls, a court official and social activist said Friday.
Ying Srang, spokesman for the provincial court in Siem Reap, site of the famed Angkor Wat temples, said Rugh James Cline was convicted Thursday of indecent acts against minors under 15 years of age for paying three girls for sex during visits in February and May this year.
An NGO that investigates suspected foreign pedophiles in Cambodia, Action Pour Les Enfants, said the victims told police that he paid them a total of $120. The group, known by the acronym APLE, identified Cline as a lawyer.
The court ordered Cline, who pleaded not guilty, to pay 15 million riels ($3,750) in compensation to each of the girls.
Poverty and poor law enforcement have made Cambodia a magnet for foreign pedophiles, though anti-human trafficking police aided by groups such as APLE try to crack down on sex offenders.
"I welcome the verdict, however the crime of purchase of child prostitution should have been charged as the offender took advantage of the victims, coercing them with money," APLE's executive director, Seila Samleang, said in a statement. "This would've represented a longer jail sentence." The penalty for purchase of child prostitution is seven to 15 years' imprisonment when the child is under 15 years old.
Seila Samleang urged Cambodian authorities to deport foreign sex offenders after they complete their prison terms because they could pose a risk to other local children.

A Florida-licensed attorney who’s accused of sexually abusing children in Cambodia appeared before a judge in Tampa Monday.
40-year-old Rugh James Cline was indicted back in February of 2021 on five counts of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in a foreign place and one count of possession of child exploitation materials.
According to the indictment, Cline traveled to Cambodia in February and May of 2019 and paid to sexually abuse four different children while he was there. He’s also accused of traveling to Cambodia while knowingly in possession of materials depicting the sexual abuse of children.
Cline was deported from Cambodia and returned for an initial appearance in federal court in Tampa on June 7.
On Monday, there was a bond hearing in the case during which cline was released on GPS monitoring, home detention, and a $100,000 signature bond. He’s also prohibited from accessing the internet or having any contact with minors while under home detention.
If convicted, Cline faces a sentence of up to 30 years in prison for each of the five counts of illicit sexual conduct in a foreign place, and 20 years for possession of child sexual abuse material.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. yahoo.com

Prohibited from accessing the internet?
How would that work, practically?
Is he not allowed a smartphone? He can’t use email? Internet banking? Online shopping? Candy Crush?
I understand the motives behind the restrictions. But is it practical to ban someone from using something so ubiquitous and almost necessary for life?

Didn't he scale the walls of the American Embassy in Phnom Penh over an expired passport?
He’s dead and yes he did.Cambodiacious wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 6:48 pmIs this guy still alive or do I remember reading somewhere that he died in Laos?

Genuinely not seeing the problem here. Yes, the dude needs to do his banking the old-fashioned way. He’ll need to use the telephone to contact people. And yes, he can only play Bejewelled instead of Candy Crush.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 11:42 amProhibited from accessing the internet?
