You're assuming he'd even cough up the cash. He may have intended to partake in a quick pump and dump, with threats of dissemination of information in the event she subsequently complained.Jitters wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 7:47 am$800 dollars a month and accommodation enticed her to leave her job and kids and move here. She’s able to live on that here and save money to send home and make it worthwhile? You can see why he’d feel an arrangement of $1000 more would be tempting to a girl like that. Good on her for standing up for herself.

He can’t really use Trump’s go to excuse of “she’s not even my type”, as she quite clearly is.
Instead he says “but look at these other women that say I’ve treated them fine”, which is essentially saying “if I haven’t harassed some women, then there’s no way I could harass anyone.” That the strongest of arguments, especially given the possibility that he has harassed them but they’ve just accepted the money.
Then he mentions that she left for personal reasons in her resignation letter; however given that she is then asking for her passport back in the letter, perhaps she didn’t want to upset anyone and wanted to leave before she felt safe. A company holding onto foreign workers’ passports seems very sketchy to me.

Any updates on this? I ask because I hear the issue is reaching crisis levels in Phnom Penh.
Getting into trouble for sexually harassing pretty filipina co-workers and staff at your place of work by sending them suggestive messages seems to be in fashion. The phrase 'doing a Mohan' is now part of expat vernacular.
I'm hearing rumours that one of our esteemed posters has recently 'done a Mohan' and finds himself out of a job as a result.

Jessy isn't a filipina.

They are also pretty good teachers for the most part, and they don't change jobs very often.
I can tell you that if every Filipino kindergarten/primary teacher left the country - and they would, if this came into effect - the schools would be screwed for a while.
I don't have any figures for how many are working here, but it must be un the thousands, I would imagine, and that's just education.
Pretty dystopian/Orwellian idea, hard to think it's anything more than trolling.
