I was wondering if anyone had any information on redoing land titles. I am a half owner of about a hecare of land in Kampong Chhnang. We have a soft title on the land and it was registered with the cadestral office of the province. All of the paperwork was done correctly. There have been some new roads go in and increased land value. I was informed in the small villages they are doing new titles. Does anyone have any information on this. Not that I don't trust the powers that be but I don't trust them.

redoing land titles in the countryside
If the sangkat is “redoing” the titles then I would be making sure your land is safe.
When you say your land I assume it’s in your partners name?

Well if they're converting your soft title to hard title go for it.johnny99 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 10:40 pmI was wondering if anyone had any information on redoing land titles. I do not think they are changing to hard titles it sounds like something else. In Khmer it is Plong Ruing spelled phonetically. I sounds like Plong Rooing. Any translations???

I am a whole owner of 2 hectares of land in Kompong Chhnang. Bought before you as well.
It might be “phlauv” ផ្លូវ (pronounced like “Plow” but with a hardly heard “v”) is road so maybe they are marking the road boundaries, which always encroach on people’s land.
