Cambodia News English: What a Great Site.
That is a symptom of long-term herpes infection. The usual 6 month drive-by K440 insult by decrepit old whoremonger and genearlly disgusting shitprick HH basically saying "I read this forum every day but it sucks".

Why are you quoting me?
I had to go back through this thread to see where I posted, a waste of my time especially as it was on the first page and has nothing to do with you or your posts or any recent posts on this thread!
k440, something to do when you're pissed.

Check out the arrow the appears next to your name in the quote - you can click that and it will bring you to the post. This was one of the subtle updates with the site.

^ my question still stands " why Quote me? My original comment was in reference to a remark about KiR being a wanker at times! This comment is four weeks old and has no meaning in the present of this thread!

No, it's the usual beer you're missing in Straya when you're visiting the forum for nostalgia.
Don't worry about the jealousy mate. Every old fart regrets the opportunities they missed. I'm sure Australia sucks giant balls.
What's the cost of a pint nowadays? $12? Are you drinking hairspray and nail polish removal yet?

The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.

I doubt they have a real journalist on payroll. I could be wrong.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 9:06 pmYou don't think that's possible but it absolutely is. The CNE guys have lots of independent and credible sources contributing, that's why they have stories like this out before anyone else even knows anything.Wayward Woods wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2019 8:19 pmNow, it’s great to get this info. But I don’t think CNE has their own journalists to find this out and write this. Again, no source.

Nevertheless they cite all their articles and post interesting stuff.
What's a proper journo anyway? I spent years serving up the coke for 'em to meet their deadlines. Liked most of them.
Edited to say that the citing is vital so that you can share and discuss the news with local friends.

To clarify. Articles are cited when they have come from (and use) the local news as sources for translation. That's just a common courtesy and useful to Khmer speakers/readers.
When something is sent in to CNE (which is quite often), if the source does not want credit, then there is no link. And yes, a lot of folks send us stuff to use.
If you check the local news, as we do, the plagiarism is totally ingrained, so we feel we actually do a favor to the site we see it first or get the better story from by linking them.
No other news sites (even those who quote CNE) bother to give a credit, so credit where it is due, this site mostly does.
Press releases and anonymous tips do not merit, or cannot be given links. And yes, sometimes even use our own stuff. So far none of the outlets used has raised any complaint, and seeing as this is a very niche audience, they probably won't.
The only problems have been from pissed off foreigners who have found themselves exposed (via local news).
This is a free to use service, which makes next to nothing in actual money. No likey, no read, KT, PPP, CEONEWS are always there a few days later (without the source, though admittedly sometimes more accurate with the details... *not ceonews).
Take it or leave it.
TLDR: Yeah, we do what we do until told to stop.
