It’s silly to hold a politician accountable for his own government? He’s not a private citizen like me and you - he is a politician and questioning him should be part of our civic duty. He is using his position in power to infringe upon the sovereignty of another state and I don’t support that and think he should be more focused on his own country and constituents.
He's an MEP with an opposition party. He's nothing to do with the government, which compromises the prime minister and his cabinet, and junior ministers. Backbenchers with the governing party are not considered part of the the government, so this bloke certainly isn't.

Firstly, it's not his government. As SD says, he is an opposition politician. Would you tweet AOC or Nancy Pelosi, asking her to justify Trump's tweets and policies?
Secondly, you were were not questioning him about government policy. You were questioning him about conservative party internal processes and procedures.
Thirdly, as far this chap is concern, he IS a private citizen like me and you. He has nothing to do with the British Parliament. He is a member of the European Parliament.
Look at it this way. He's going about minding his own business, and some excited puppy from 440 contacts him on Twitter asking if he's comign to Cambodia. He replies politely. You reply and go off on a tangent about something totally unrelated. It's the equivalent of being berated by a mad drunk outside a Street 172 convenience store.
And weirdly, you didnt even bother explaining why you were contacting him in the first place - the immigration notice. Why not?
Yes instead of something like this
- Are you planning to travel?
- Yes
- Do you think your own country is any fucking good?!
Next time try something like this
- Are you planning to travel?
- Yes
- Jfyi your name has been provided to every immigration official at the border along with other persons of interest.
- Oh my! That sounds terrible! What would happen if I turned up?
- They would most likely reject your visa and deny you entry. Here's a link to our civil discussion about it.
20 minutes later on some popular rag which brings you mad clicks
"MEPs barred from entering Cambodia!!! As first reported on civil discussion forum KHMER440... The owner reached out on Twitter and had a civil and normal conversation about the consequences of... Potentially harm international relations... Bla bla bla... KHMER440 LINK"
I hope you don't have an ACCIDENT again! Wink wink! Spider emoji! Is just not a good Tweet to write.

Do you mean Gordon Ramsay Uncharted? If so there are 6 episodes/countries. Laos is one of them but not Cambodia...Miguelito wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 3:34 pmRe Ramsey: He is active on Twitter and has a new show debuting this week. Cambodia will be featured in it. Last time he aired a show with Cambodia he drove a truck into a tree. He is the king of giving people shit, especially on Twitter - how is my tweet “threatening”?
Re asking the Tory question: I answered the question above. I find it hypocritical of him to be talking about “bringing democracy back to Cambodia” when he comes from a country that has a House of Lords and will end up getting Johnson as a PM in a most undemocratic manner. It doesn’t matter what party he is, what moral high ground is he standing on?

Spider emoji is because last time he hunted spiders, cooked them, and ate them. It was obviously the highlight of his trip (even more than cooking for the Royal family), as just a few months he posted a nine year old clip of him running into the tree, and hunting spiders.
Then, in his press release for this new show, he only mentioned two countries: "Join Ramsay as he scales roofs of caves to harvest fresh nests in Malaysian Borneo and puts fear aside to hunt tarantulas in Cambodia." press release
Dude, chill, it was one tweet.

Breaking: Ministry of Foreign Affairs denies 'blacklisting' MEPs
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation spokesperson Ket Sophann has dismissed a media report claiming Cambodia has placed six Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) on a blacklist as "completely fake news".
Sophann told The Post on Thursday that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had not instructed Cambodian embassies around the world to refuse the MEPs visas for the Kingdom after they expressed support for the Supreme Court-dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) and its leadership.
“This is not true. It is completely fake news. Cambodia welcomes international tourists who come with good intentions, but if tourists come with bad intentions, such as in support of a convict, or could possibly affect security, then our embassies will not issue them a visa," Sophann said.
The rebuttal came after Radio Free Asia (RFA) on Wednesday reported Cambodia has "blacklisted" six EU lawmakers after they expressed interest in accompanying CNRP "acting president" Sam Rainsy and other top leaders living abroad who announced their intention to return in August or September.
"The order by Cambodia’s Foreign Ministry ... includes photos and the names of those to be barred entry, all of whom have pledged to accompany acting CNRP president Sam Rainsy on his promised return from four years in exile sometime later this year," RFA reported.

Yes indeed, be careful because you may already be on someone's shitlist.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
I haven't seen a great many dumb posts from you over the years, but this really is as dumb as it gets. I neither get why you diverted to discussing Brexit nor why you didn't alert him to his name of the wall / this thread. That could have been hilarious.Miguelito wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 3:34 pmRe asking the Tory question: I answered the question above. God, they're such a bunch of idiots. How about starting with Saudi Arabia? Or is that cool because they profited enormously from the arms sales? They want a puppet, not democracy.

This document was posted online by a few news outlets today and they say it's what was sent to the embassies telling them to deny these folks visas. This is what I saw in the immigration cubicle a week ago. Well, the right half of it anyway, with Bennion's name, DOB and photo at the top and then Anna Gomes, etc.
I don't read Khmer so I don't know if the text on the left was different in the cubicle.
