Is Cambodia blacklisting long term expats who get multiple “looking for work” EG visa extensions?
There are anecdotal reports in the Cambodia visa and work permit Facebook group of white people being denied entry to Cambodia or being told when they are leaving that they won’t be allowed back in.
The immigration officers aren’t being forthcoming about why they are denied, except telling them they are on a blacklist. One member of the group was told that the blacklist has 23 names on it.
The common denominator so far from the few anecdotal reports might be that the blacklistees are long term residents who switched from EB to EG visas (perhaps to avoid getting work permits) and are now on their second or third “looking for work” EG visa extension.
One lady was returning to Cambodia with a valid EG visa extension and was told she was blacklisted and her visa cancelled.

It sounds like they are closing the work permit loophole and have gotten serious about the sentiment that one is either a tourist or working. Are they being denied tourist visas as well or only ordinary on arrival?
Now all they need is a maximum number of tourist visas per year and it's game over for those digital nomad latte types.

I posted too soon.
Apparently the other common denominator among the blacklistees in the FB group is a connection to the Rebels MC motorcycle gang.
Rumor has it that the Cambodian authorities are blacklisting them when they leave the country.

^ Do they write Webels MC under occupation or something?
I was thinking the AFP generously forgot a dossier in an office somewhere.
Rebels MC Sihanoukville chapter have a new Chinese President.
Mr. Ha Lee is his name.
How do they know who is a Rebel or associated with them? They don’t all ride around in colours 24/7.
They must have been collating the information for some time.

The pertinent question is, who designed the collation parameters? And why?

Well, driving a pink scooter is kind of suspicious, to begin with.

Some of the so called Outlaw Motorcycle gang members in Australia, do not actually ride motorcycles. Hilarious!
Noticed the General posted a clip on tof of the Aus Rebels, featuring an interview with national pres, Alex(the Maltese Falcon)Vella. He’s only 6 yrs out of date!!
Vella came to Aus as a kid, never took up citizenship and his passport was cancelled on a family holiday back to Malta in 2014. He’s been stuck there ever since!
