I think this is even more than Miguelito would offer if his phone were stolen.
Anyway, if there's one way to reduce the theft of foreigners' phones, it's getting the word out to locals that we'll pay $1500 rewards to get the phones back no questions asked.
This guy will even pay the $1500 if the phone has been reset.

Think he meant $150
Bringing the news. You stay classy, nas, Cambodia.
I think so. They cost $422 new at Sokly Phone, so for $1500 he could buy three and still have change.

I saw the thread title and figured you’d mention me!
I probably would have paid about $1500 for my phone that was stolen in Vietnam. I would figure in replacement value plus the amount that the lost photos and other things were worth to me, and the hassle of it all. As you know, I tracked it down more or less and was offering $500 on the spot. Later, I had someone write in Vietnamese (on a message that could appear on the phone screen) that I would pay 30 mil dong. No answer, he probably thought it was a trap.
But that was an iPhone not a Huawei...

Harry Monk - tell me that's not a real name, it has another meaning in rhyming slang ...

This. Had my phone nicked a couple of years ago. Shame about the phone, but I lost no data at all; which would have been a lot more annoying.

Another reason to use Android - cloud storage is free.

But then you can’t show off your phone on Facebook. No one cares about Android. It’s like the ginger bastard step-child of smart phones.
I saw a chick with an iPhone X taking selfies in the reflection of the coffee shop. She appeared well dressed with some logo on her top. As I walked past I noticed it had the Android operating system on it!
